@thejonnymills @2147mill Well why would you btl your first property? The whole point of the LISA is to help you get a house to live in.. You can use median or average house price, either way everywhere except london is well below the 450k limit. Its a free 1k every tax year.

Mean averages don't really prove anything but, yes, it's especially useless in London. Notwithstanding the fact that it has to be your first property and you can't BTL. And, if your circumstances change and you decide not to buy a property, your money is either locked up until 60 or subject to early withdrawal penalties.
