Cardano has a fixed supply of 45bn $ADA. Nobody can print more $ADA than that. How many blockcchains can say the same?

Polkadot spent $45–60M on outreach in 2024 (incl. marketing, PR, events). Total lifetime marketing is estimated to be $70–120M. ₳4M is worth about $1M. Even $45M might not move the needle. Do we want to invest in marketing? Does it drive adoption, developers, and real usage?

Hopefully recent treasury discussions are a wake up call to a lot of people including ADA holders. Delegation matters. Pick a good dRep. Take the 30 seconds to (re)delegate if you have to, it's worth it.

Tell me one thing @Cardano_CF @emurgo_io @F_Gregaard @phillip_pon, $ADA is below $0.25 and 14mil $ADA is requested for the events, because everything is priced in USD, the lower $ADA goes, the more $ADA needs to be requested and therefore sold. If very realistically somehow $ADA falls below $0.10 during a deep recession, will y’all be asking for 30mil $ADA? What if $ADA goes to $0.05 or below? I get these events are important, but shouldn’t there be a strategic preservation of USD while $ADA was doing well to execute these strategies when $ADA is doing poor price wise? I am strongly against spending this much during the bear market lows as it sets a precedent that the lower $ADA USD goes the more $ADA will be requested thus making $ADA USD lower, like death spiral. Eventually leads to draining the treasury to 0.

The Cardano summits are best served as COMMUNITY lead sites. Connecting events for our core community across the globe … the world comes together on Cardano …. It’s cheaper, has far more coverage, and more authenticity … At these events we can discuss goverenance, core topics around liquidity provisions, node diversity, all that Jazz we all care deeply about! and ensures that our CORE community has a consistent yearly, open to all, home and maintains the very long built relationships we all have. This is orders of magnitude better than selective events holding the summit, and as such restricting access and attendance through pricing and location choices. Your current proposed pattern excludes MOST voices of our core Cardano community, and they become exclusive because most of our community cannot afford or attend these. Shameful you choose not to recognise this. — and then .… Token49 should be paid for by the CF out of your current business holding value, which is significant …. That is the entire point of your founding entities existence, is to leverage your EXISTING power FOR cardanos enterprise endeavours, not ask me for more money to do what you should be doing already. Mixing these 2 event and marketing aims is fundamentally silly, and short sighted. It ignores the core communities desires, it does not platform institutional adoptions that everyone is so keen to gain, and tries to merge the 2 incompatible layers The Cardano Summit is for Cardano full stop … we all know it and we all want to go to the party ... Token 49 and all the other global events that are non Cardano focused are what the @Cardano_CF entire mandate should be primed for … so please for the love of building value, pay for those yourself, not via treasury withdrawals. Community lead local summits (like previous successfully years that had higher turn outs) and enterprise lead CF events Why did you not reach out to community hosts who are ready, willing and have the history to organise the summits?
