@teslascope I'm surprised there's been very little discussion about finding a solution to the missing Grok integration for cars with Intel chips. The only avenue I see is the HW3-to-HW4 package upgrade, which has to include a new CPU/GPU.

Our prediction came true, and we're now seeing 2026.2.9.9 (FSD V14.3.2) approaching ~15% saturation within the first 24 hours, after three separate waves! Two waves yesterday, and one at approximately 4AM (PST). We anticipate more waves within the next 24 hours.
Teslascope@teslascope

@99_Colorado Very solid chance of that or this update finally being the one to break past 1%!

@teslascope Getting it on one of my M3S. The rear camera issue on 2026.8.6 is repeatable for those who have it. Now I wonder if it will resolve the jittery steering wheel issue that also pops up when FSD is engaged.

This software update 2026.8.6.1, now going wide, resolves the rear camera delay/blackout issue we reported on previously, which impacted many, but not all Tesla vehicles on 2026.8.6. We expect vehicles on the prior version will be prioritized initially, as seen in our data.

We noticed a new Tesla software update 2026.8.6.1 on Model X Plaid (2022) in Texas, United States. View the rollout of this update here: teslascope.com/software/2026.…

We’ve observed a majority of Tesla vehicles with 2026.8.6 pending (whether awaiting install or download) have had the update pulled from their vehicles worldwide. This also impacted our own vehicle. No official insight into the decision at this time can be provided.

@MobofJoggers I kept my HW3 cars in the hope that they would get a retrofit, but purchased an additional car with HW4 so I can use the newest FSD version sooner rather than later. That said, I am certain that none of these cars will allow me to sleep at the wheel anytime in the future.

If you bought FSD and the HW isn't able to run unsupervised FSD then I think you should be able to transfer it to a new car. It would be the right thing to do 💯

@blktsla @Tesla is essentially getting out of the EV luxury car business, leaving that space open to Lucid, Mercedes, and Porsche. They are trading it in for expensive robots. MY is reduced to taxi car status, and M3 is the new Corolla.

Help me out Tesla Fam, I see a LOT of people posting about "redesigning" the S/X as if thats going to 2x or 3x the sales. My understanding is that anyone who has bought an S/X continues to buy them unless affordability is a factor. There is a large group of people who want to buy but affordability is a factor. Lastly there are those thay have them currently and are holding on to them (not ready to upgrade or their current S/X is sufficient). Im not sure the split here but is there really a massive holdout of people NOT buying S/X month after month because they haven't been refreshed? And if refreshed will that 2x 3x 4x the numbers? I think refreshing with the desired upgrades 500 miles range, 800v, steer by wire, would push the price higher exacerbating the affordability issues but let me know what you all think.
Hamid@hamids

@elonmusk Why didn't you just design new versions of the S & X? They are such amazing cars that deserved to survive and improve (with REAL updates)!

@TeslaJoy I'm in the $15k FSD club for two separate cars, after @elonmusk warned the price could go up even higher. I have been holding to them after another remark on the HW3-to-HW4 upgrade. Now I hear my MSP class has reached EOL. It's just one battle after another. FML!!

I did a calculation of the $7K FSD capability I bought back in 3/2019. I didn’t get FSD beta software until late 10/2021 so I’ve been using this capability for 52 months so far. $7,000 / 52 months = $134.62/month I’ve been paying ~$135/month so far for something that doesn’t work right, and Tesla hasn’t updated the software since 11/2024. There are also many Tesla owners who paid $8K-$15K for FSD in countries that don’t even have FSD beta available yet. I really hope @elonmusk and @Tesla will do the right thing by allowing us early FSD customers to transfer FSD license any time we choose to, when we are ready and financially able to buy another Tesla, instead of cutting off the transfer completely and leaving us hanging. For us who participated in FSD beta program, we contributed to FSD data points that made FSD much better today (even though I cannot enjoy it). It would only make sense allowing us to grandfather our FSD license from vehicle to vehicle in the future to realize its true value and potential.

@blktsla @Tesla @elonmusk I think people aren't grasping the fact that once the MSP model has spun its last wheel, @Tesla will no longer have a sedan that goes 0-60 MPH in under 2s. There is still a market for drivers looking for that level of performance in a luxury sedan.

@tesla @elonmusk if you guys keeping making the S/X we will keep buying them. Here's to our 9th Tesla and 4th Model X EOL edition. We don't know what our next cars will be but if you ever consider setting up a line in TX we will keep buying them! For those wondering - Build quality is exceptional, lines and gaps are all symmetrical and the new suspension is sublime, very noticeable over the previous. FWD are quieter, and the bumper cam is clutch. Despite what the numbers and haters say this is one of if not the best Tesla and noticeably more premium/luxurious. Full review coming soon when the snow let's up. S/O to the HW3 fam we tried to stick with it but, the wife was getting v14 FOMO so we had to make a move.

Yet another horrible decision imo, they seem to be on a roll. So no new vehicles just robots and cybercabs and if you want to "drive manually" buy a 3/Y or competitor?

Elon Musk’s farewell to Model S/X Production, which will be ending in Q2 2026: “It's time to basically bring the Model S and X programs to an end with an honorable discharge. We're moving into a future that is based on autonomy. We're going to take the Model S and X production space in our Fremont Factory, and convert that into an Optimus factory with the long-term goal of 1M/year. It's part of our overall shift to an autonomous future.” 😢

@chuckcook After using FSD for the past few years, I've reached a point where I feel safer with FSD engaged even when I am tired. Drivers who haven't experienced FSD in the early beta phase may not yet be as comfortable, but over time, you'll learn to appreciate it.

I just finished a three day trip as a Captain on the Airbus A321, including an overnight in Austin the same day Robotaxi was spotted testing driverless. My last day was after seven hours of flight time landing in Orlando around 11 PM, and I still had a 2 1/2 hour drive home to Jacksonville ahead of me. This is a use case where FSD Supervised has changed how I use my vehicle. Previously arriving that late would've meant needing an overnight hotel getting a few hours of sleep, waking up and jumping in the car and driving home the next morning. Driving that late at night was just not safe after a long day of work. With FSD I have no problem getting in the car and letting the Tesla drive me home with my supervision. My reaction time is slower, I'm tired, but that's where this technology really shines. Unsupervised will change the game even more, but for the time being this technology has already changed the way I live and work. @Tesla_AI

So many people are making negative posts about the @Rivian autonomy day and demo drives. There are lots of defensively worded comparisons to @Tesla FSD. From where I sit, Rivian is trying to find a niche, providing a good EV and fulfilling a very important part of the market with a good looking full-size SUV and truck. Don't forget there are also still a lot of customers that won't touch Tesla, to their detriment, but they are still there. Rivian knows they are no where near Tesla's performance on FSD, just like @comma_ai has said, Tesla is in the lead and it's a race for second place. My recommendation, don't criticize another company's strategy with sensors, software, hardware or even the vehicle. Let competitors compete. There are a lot of smart people out there, looking to create the next great thing. Sometimes they even land in a place that might not end up winning. Let's not overlook that it's the people that make the difference here, let's appreciate all of their efforts and win together as a society progressing technology.

@BStarr119 I am noticing a pattern: FSD takes its sweet time to merge into the exit lane, in both my HW3 and HW4 cars. Although I appreciate FSD being polite in giving cars the right of way, other drivers are not so giving, especially in heavy traffic.

oops 😬 Exit coming up in half mile, two semis crawling in right lane, Mad Max decides NOW is the time for one last heroic undertake. Starts the move super late, Prius flying up in the lane we need, situation changes instantly, FSD aborts the cut-over and heads for the gore point. I grabbed the wheel and hopped over the triangles because reroute would’ve been a nightmare. Not a safety fail (it wasn’t gonna hit anyone) but definitely an over-aggressive navigation fail. Classic Mad Max tax. All-Sight has the oh-sh.t moment in crisp detail lol.

Why are $TSLA people so anti LiDar!? I’ve never met a more closed-minded group of people in my life! Here are the facts: 1) Waymo has the best self driving record on the planet. And they use lidar. 2) Elon made the decision to eliminate Tesla’s radar and rely solely on vision about 5 or 6 years ago, prior to the new AI neural net approach to the system. Back then, the concern of “what do you do if the sensors tell you to do different things?” was a legit concern. Today, “sensor fusion” is how the input is translated by AI systems, eliminating that concern. The analogy is that additional sensors, like your ears, augment your brains ability to drive even better. They don’t make it worse. Nobody asks “what if your ears tell you to go and eyes tell you to stop” 3) if you’re waiting for Elon to admit additional sensors COULD be helpful, that might never happen because there are millions of Teslas on the road without additional sensors and he’s been selling FSD based on vision-only for a long time. His only option is to double down and make it work with vision only. And I believe he’ll be able to. But that doesn’t mean additional sensors are bad.

FSD v14.2.1 + WINTER CONDITIONS UPDATE With yet another winter storm bearing down on the Upper Midwest, I wanted to remind everyone to stay vigilant when using FSD v14.2.1, especially in snowy conditions. While this build performs far better than any previous FSD version in winter weather (thank you @Tesla_AI for all the hard work!), there's a notable issue when transitioning from clear pavement to partially snow-covered surfaces—particularly during automatic lane changes at speeds >40mph. Once the lane change begins, the car starts swerving side-to-side, and the longer it continues, the more pronounced the hunting behavior becomes as it searches for drivable space. Earlier this week, I encountered this a few times during a mild snowstorm. With a lifetime of winter driving experience here in Minnesota, I decided to observe how far it would go. I was surprised that the system didn't disengage on its own, as it eventually put the car into a full slide toward the barrier, requiring my intervention. If you notice this behavior, I strongly recommend disengaging early and completing the lane change manually before re-engaging the system.
