@tbruce15 I drove 1.5 hours (Med Hat to Taber) when I was 19. Just got off of a night shift and should not have been driving. An angel was protecting me that day. You're a good man for accompanying him.

Off night shift and am driving with my oldest son four hours west so he can meet with our Stake President for his (hopefully) final interview before his mission papers are submitted to Salt Lake. Gotta love large geographic Stakes.

A while back my wife made the mistake of casually asking me a question about Marie Antoinette was surprised to receive a screed on the evils of the French Revolutionaries. “Why are you still mad about the French Revolution” she asked.
James II did nothing wrong@James_II_1688

never forget what the jacobins did to Louis XVII, he was just a child when they tortured him, he was only 10 when he died, and keep in mind this is just what wikipidia is willing to have up, imagine how much worse the full truth is.

Norm Macdonald Joke of the Day
Demi Moore has wrapped filming on G.I. Jane, in which she plays a Navy Seal Combat Officer. Moore says that in contrast to other Hollywood portrayals of women in the military, her character will have giant breasts.

@CCoderDyne The Japanese military were arming their civilians with bamboo spears and prepping them to charge landing forces. Screw the Japanese leadership of that time. They deserved everything they got.

The atomic bombings were not retaliation for Pearl Harbor. They were an attempt to bring a swift end to the war with Japan without sending a million men to die in an invasion.
Edward Feser@FeserEdward

Just as Hiroshima and Nagasaki were grotesquely out of proportion to the evil of the Pearl Harbor attack, what was done to Gaza is grotesquely out of proportion to the evil of the October 7 attack. What begins as a just cause is often corrupted by war’s self-righteous bloodlust.

Here are some emails that I received from Molly Gore ("Pam Gibson") and Igor Vamos ("Michael Smith") as part of the "prank" show that CBC/APTN will be airing. This is how they were communicating with me

It’s a tragedy Adams died so young, it felt like there was a lot of room for him to play around with in the Dirk Gently series. He’s mostly known for Hitchhiker’s Guide of course, but by the last couple of books you could tell his heart wasn’t in that series anymore
2001 Live@25YearsAgoLive

Douglas Adams, British author best-known for his book series The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy from 1979 to 1992, dies of a heart attack while exercising in Montecito, California. He was 49.

@VJMPub Only critique is the iq of the Inuits and arctic peoples isn’t that high. There is strong suggestive evidence than iq was heavily selected for by civilisation

Almost everything worth knowing about race and IQ is summarised by Cold Winters Theory - and a horrendous number of people, despite living in multiracial environments, don't know about it. tl;dr - in higher latitudes, cold winters kill dumb people off. That's it

i just feel like this app isn’t nuanced enough to discuss why a man born in 1914, who was arrested in 1946 for a “homosexual act”, may have advised a fellow actor to stay quiet on gay rights. i think people villainizing him need to get a grip
