@FraserBerryFarm Then I got pregnant with our third baby and, never mind, the clock reset. Probably won’t work until all the planned four kids are in school.
English

@FraserBerryFarm Genuinely, I feel so lucky that I’ve never been in a position where we even considered putting a newborn in daycare. At one point, we talked about it so I could work 3 days at the hospital but our kids would have been like 3 and 5 and it still made me uncomfortable.
English

@techhsiren Really not enjoying being reminded of how bad postpartum is🫠
English

@thecavemommy Haha I just said that - if I do too much cleaning and organizing, I end up wanting to buy stuff to do it with. My newest fixation is a lazy Susan spice rack but I need to find the right size for our weird cabinets. My Little Green Machine is coming Monday!
English

I am really excited for my Amazon order! We are pretty stingy with our money and I really don’t buy anything unless it’s necessary. But I got some cool hangers for pants and a hat rack and some drawer organizers. It’s giving me dopamine thinking about it getting here! I can see why people get a shopping addiction. I definitely don’t have a shopping addiction but I am pretty addicted to organization and making things less cluttered. I think if we were ever rich I would turn into her! The dopamine hits she gets every time she labels something or gets a new bin for storage must go crazy!!

@RizomaSchool My in-laws always give the kids a cup of juice. We don’t normally have it at home so I’m just like, whatever, they’ll live.
English

My one thing I've really chilled about as a parent is "the dose makes the poison"
Janelle@janesue821
Everyone wants a village until the village is giving your kid Cheetos and chocolate milk and letting him watch slop tv at 9am so you can weed the garden.
English

@homemakinghunny Also you then want to buy things to organize with, like a lazy Susan for your spices😅
English

@krng0r @jaderants I’ve had 2 children and don’t have any of the described issues, like incontinence. These are young women we’re talking about, not menopausal.
There’s also limited support to help them fix these problems that were induced by improperly prescribed steroids.
English

@jaderants You can get all that as a cis woman. My overies are fucked and so are my bowels. So either way
English

it destroys your organs. in my case, i lost my gallbladder, have ovarian cysts, cysts and debris in my injection sights, permanent ibs, colitis (repeated inflammation of the intestinal tract), urinary incontinence, injured throat… it doesn’t stop
Prisha Mosley🦎@PrishaMosley
Taking testosterone as a female messed with my entire body. Its not just the outward appearance that changes, with the facial hair and etc. The steroids damaged my liver, pancreas, thyroid, and kidneys. My doctors should have warned me. These are known side effects.
English

@LBR4567 @Utterly_Jean I will often just switch cars with my parents when they want to take the kids somewhere, but like you said, it makes spontaneous help more difficult.
English

@Utterly_Jean Something modern that makes this more difficult logistically is the car seat. We bought a set for my parents so they can drive the older two around. But still we have to put them in for them every time. They keep taking them out of their car for one reason or another and don’t…
English

@thecavemommy @CaveGrandma I’m kind of the same way with the Ouija boards. There was one left at our shared family beach house one year and we ended up throwing it out😅it felt wrong walking around and it’s just sitting out on the shelf.
English

In my house @CaveGrandma growing up was pretty chill and had a more relaxed liberal parenting style but she had some dead set rules
1) NO ANIME
2) NO SHOWS INVOLVING WITCHCRAFT (Yes including Harry Potter)
3) NO OUJIA BOARDS EVER. If we are ever anywhere and a Oujia board was bought out we immediately call her and she will come pick us up (the same rule applied later in life if we got drunk and needed a ride lol)
She doesn’t mess with that witch craft shit and taught us very early on about demons. She did budge on Wizards of Waverly Place tho cuz my best friend growing up was obsessed with Selena Gomez lol.
English

@NoblestCalling @thechosenberg Haha, genuinely, why is she thinking about this enough to make a Reddit post? This is so normal - I remember as a teen my best conversations about my day with my mom were at like 9pm on her bed.
English

@thechosenberg This person needs another kid so they have less time to neurotically bother this one
English

@moej4prez Me except I’m 35 weeks pregnant so it just gives me terrible heartburn for the rest of the night.
English

@GreatLakesWife_ Yeah, mine vibrates for phone calls but I don’t get audible notifications for texts and I turn even the banners off for most apps.
English

Does no one except me just keep their phone on silent? It’s always on silent unless I am expecting a call. I look at my phone when I want to look at it and I don’t when I don’t. No need to turn on DND every night
brooke bowman@gptbrooke
should i be trying to not text people when it's the middle of the night in the US or should i mostly assume they have DND on and that if they don't that's a them problem?
English

@thecavemommy Yeah, they’re really starting to move towards independence so you have more bandwidth to meet both kids’ needs.
English

Yes I love the 28 month age gap between my 2! It’s been nice that he is like potty trained and can grab his own snacks and stuff now 😂 Or grab something from another room for me really quick. He is a good little helper. And he knows what needs to be picked up off the floor cuz baby could choke which is really nice cuz this baby puts everything in his fricken mouth lol. He’ll be 4 by the time we have another.
English

I see posts in a crunchy mom group that are like “Already have a 20 month old and 6 month old and just found out I’m pregnant again, my husband is getting deployed for 6 months and we don’t have any family around to help” and I realize I am living a VERY different motherhood experience from people who complain having kids is super hard 😅
Really not that bad when you both sets of moms are hands on & don’t mind watching boys, I work 2 days a week a job I enjoy so it’s a nice break for me, husband is home by 5pm everyday. Yeah and I don’t know not popping them out back to back and waiting a till baby is a year to get pregnant again also helps, but also I’m 28 and want one maybe 2 more so I can wait lol.
English

@Elliesmommyy23 I can’t look away🫣Also I hate that her bio says “teen mom” because she’s not and it makes people excuse her behavior more because they think she’s like 19…I did not behave this way when I had a baby at 18.
English

@GreatLakesWife_ My 3yo is. I forget exactly when we knew but he was definitely pretty young when we noticed, maybe closer to a year or so when he really started using utensils.
English

A lot of Catholics who discovered religion via social media are a little delusional when it comes to Catholic women.
Church going Millennial/GenZ Catholic women are mostly normies. That's not a bad thing. They went to school, they work jobs, they wear pants.
You're fresh out of luck if you're hoping to show up to your local parish's young adults night and meet a 19 year old who wants to get married to a thirty something man and become a home maker right from the get go.
You won't even meet women like that in 95% of parishes offering Latin Mass.
