@Plyons251 The relevance of this politically motivated question to studying medicine is spurious and has no bearing on potential ability at all

When I was a child and we went to the swimming pool I used to have to walk through a shallow pool of disinfectant or something and I’ve mentioned this to my family and they don’t believe me. Was this a thing?

@_SharonThornton Sadly I may have helped put the nail in the coffin by suggesting the work published on the RCPCH website was selective & biased, and offering to bring patients and parents with lived experience on board to help….had the opposite-to-the-intended effect 😢 x.com/binitakane/sta…

Grateful for the opportunity to meet with @RCPCHtweets, alongside with @LongCovidKids and @SGriffin_Lab. The response to our request for the College to work with those with lived experience is here for those interested. I’m disappointed, but at least I’ve tried. #LongCovidKids

@BinitaKane When will leaders follow the science and realise that covid infection triggers vascular disease and platelet hyperactivity and probable microclots, it’s not influenza !! Unlike the threat of H5N1 on the horizon…

In 2021, I went public with these images of my daughter’s platelets. One curious, brilliant paediatrician went away and tried to replicate findings in other children - 2 years later, here is his controlled study showing platelet hyperactivation in #longcovidkids 🧵

Following observations from @resiapretorius and early pediatric data from @LaelYonker , we found that children with #LongCovid also have circulating activated platelets, supporting hypothesis of endothelial inflammation and chronic immune activation journals.lww.com/pidj/fulltext/…

BREAKING/ This is a scandalous moment in UK medicine. Over 80 Fellows of @RCPhysicians have just declared their lack of confidence in the College. Why? Because they believe its stance on physician associates (PAs) is recklessly failing patients. Pls read - this matters. 🧵

@ThomasJohnRose Efficient, tested, streamlined integrated processes are much needed & certainly lacking in many areas of nhs. Linked to best practice and quality & governance checks too to minimise errors & delays. Agree on this but with lack of integrated systems & investment it’s challenged

Why am I the only one going on and on about the total lack of process design and process management in our NHS? If you don't understand what I'm on about then ask.

Delighted to see the huge increase in appointments delivered in General Practice in April, up by a quarter on the same period pre-pandemic, to over 30 million, thanks to the hard work of GPs and their teams. Today’s published data shows an increase of six million …1/6

@ChrisRGollop @Mark_Twitchett @ChrisHopsonNHS Conveniently doesn’t mention Gp appts or Gp satisfaction , retention etc. primary care appts don’t equate to face to face Gp appts and thus both biased and public being misled during time of purdah

@Mark_Twitchett @ChrisHopsonNHS Political sensitive? He’s informing the public on the facts, why should that be politically sensitive? You‘d prefer the public not to know would you?

@ChrisHopsonNHS Appts delivered by whom? Increase in practice appts not Gp appts. Skewed figures not representing the lack of much needed investment in primary care .. thought with pending election peddling politics was restricted by Purdah.. did you not get memo ?

@drraja_ I’m a far from ideal junior doctor for I ask a zillion questions but extremely lucky to have got the most supportive consultants at my Trust. 🥰 we have a system of rewards for nurses or junior doctors who go above and beyond, I hope there’s something for consultants as well

Everyone wants junior doctors who require minimal supervision and can get the job done safely and timely. The ideal junior doctor is considered to be the one who rarely bother the seniors and get things done. But there are Consultants who will take on juniors struggling and help them grow confidence and develop clinical skills. I consider such senior doctors special who create a safe working space for struggling juniors. This requires time and effort. Often there are no financial benefits attached to it. If you go to any department and ask the junior doctors, - Who is the best consultant in their eyes when they need help? - Who treats them with most respect and dignity. - Who they find most approachable. - Who teaches them the most. You will get the answer. The hospital management should have some mechanisms to identity and honour such senior doctors. Because they are the ones who can help you retain the staff.

Hi @nas_vascular, I may be wrong, but is this you and your team? What do you think of the PAs social media account? We rarely see medical students or doctors using SM in this way. Further compounds the replacement of doctors by PAs @medicalmodelbri @ExplosiveEnema2
@medicalmodelwithabriochebun@medicalmodelbri

Then -PA student Hated having blood fired all over her 😭 Loves being first assist in surgery Loves being mistaken for a medical student by the clown vascular surgeon 🤡 Now - lecturer at university Running own aesthetics business Pretending to be a GP
