Breaking: Park-Pagliuca Fund Donates $10 Million to PolyBio Long COVID Cure Initiative PolyBio Research Foundation today announced a $10M donation to support the Long COVID Cure Initiative (LCCI), a program designed to deliver treatments to millions of Long COVID patients by translating key academic findings into real-world diagnostic tests, faster and more targeted clinical trials, and accessible, patient-ready therapies. prnewswire.com/news-releases/…

Dr. David Izquierdo and his team developed the novel radiotracer [64Cu]-FBP8 that can identify fibrin accumulation in the lung, brain and heart tissue of Long COVID patients when visualized with PET. “Now the question is; can we [use this technology] with patients that have symptoms, but don’t have any clinical evidence,” said Izquierdo. “What we’re trying to do here is determine if Long COVID has a signal that we can measure, quantify and detect in vivo, noninvasively.”

A rare video (I am desperate) but I really need you all to hear me. I want you all to know it brings me zero pleasure to have to keep repeating myself but I do it for the ignorant people who don't understand why this is happening. Please get your sh*t together in #LongCovid research. If I am dealing with these vascular emergencies so are the kids. They deserve prevention tests and treatments NOW!
