If you invested $10,000 in $ICP 5 years ago at its peak, you'd have $30 today. A small car turned into 4 Big Macs.

Day 2 of trying to get a reponse on Dfinity forums... This post lasted a whole 4 minutes before it was hidden... @dfinity You need to sort this out please!

🚨 $ICP PROPOSAL 142922 — INTERNET IDENTITY SECURITY UPGRADE 🚨 Proposal 142922 is now open for voting to upgrade the Internet Identity backend canister. This is a resubmission of Proposal 142856 with additional security measures added following further review. WHAT THE UPGRADE CHANGES • Refines the MCP integration handshake • Improves the MCP user experience • Caps MCP registrations per Internet Identity anchor • Introduces garbage collection for registration data • Adds URL hashing • Restricts MCP registration delegation to the authenticating anchor • Implements Phase 2 of MCP registration delegation WHY THIS MATTERS Internet Identity is core authentication infrastructure for the Internet Computer. The most important security change is the tighter scoping of MCP registration delegation. Delegation retrieval is now restricted to the Internet Identity anchor performing the authentication, reducing the risk of delegation being accessed outside its intended identity context. The upgrade also introduces registration limits and garbage collection, helping prevent uncontrolled registration growth and reducing resource-abuse risks. PROPOSAL DETAILS Proposal: 142922 Type: Install Code Topic: Application Canister Management Status: Open Proposer: Neuron 78 Backend commit: e972f225705cf479b7e23aa3fe538452590c2783 Canister rdmx6-jaaaa-aaaaa-aaadq-cai Install mode Upgrade WASM hash: d51ef5ce871d2231360e6abb84aed7f51b21b5337716ed67f37ccdeaabe29862 Argument hash: 9aa4793f898e7a3cfe1deedc387b3725d1b648778e6cdca4a02466a08217f329 Archive hash: 8da906ba1b50dd7c6b2a9eb974fbbe492088d8127715dbd9cd8855031ba537fb The proposal includes reproducible build and backend argument verification instructions, allowing the deployed code and configuration to be independently checked. CURRENT VOTE Yes: 0.846% Yes voting power: 6,754,978 No: 5.159% No voting power: 41,215,744 Neurons voted: 3 The proposal currently has enough participation to meet the minimum participation condition, but approval still requires more than 50% of participating voting power to vote Yes before expiry. Proposal 142922 is not a routine cosmetic update. It modifies authentication, delegation and MCP-related logic inside one of the most important application canisters on $ICP. It deserves technical review based on the code, hashes and security controls—not automatic Yes or No voting. #ICP #InternetComputer #InternetIdentity #DFINITY #NNS #MCP #CyberSecurity #Blockchain #Web3 Support my independent $ICP content: 1e672d038cebc619d93186418fa98f6499dbdb9cfdfac54f366c61a4a4ee4362
