Another bash on @dfinity... not only have they not released any R&D videos lately (@dfinitydev), they stopped updating their @Medium blog almost a year ago. A blog with over 10,000 followers, abandoned.

$ICP spent years printing itself into the ground. Mission 70 cuts minting 9.72% → 5.42% by Jan 2027. bagholders ate dilution for years so the fix could arrive at $2. better late than the bull run you missed.

8 days later. I still cant connect to multidex to test it without connecting my II to google... I thought $ICP was trying to be an alternative to big tech and yet here we are relying on a centralized tech company to log into a DEX. I dont use gmail and never will. @dfinity

@jeffrey17249 @dominic_w Oh no 💩 coins that are nothing but rug pulls have been making way more money for years. While $ICP died, BONK ran, PEPE ran, countless $SOL garbage ran while this only sold off and round tripped. Really a tragedy.

@CadeONeill It had its chance already when they were $near each other. ICP already showed on chain AI visual recognition and LLMs at that point. But CT didn’t care. And when @ClaudeAI Fable 5 got banned, $TAO surged. ICP didn’t.

@JackDeviation Since the ICP Ecosystem page was condensed into just three dapps, looking to find other apps that show a directory of apps. Maybe @cyqlio because sure the protocol is good but the ecosystem makes it like home.

Everyone agrees that the Internet Computer ICO was a disaster. The market was overhyped for several reasons and we've been in a 5 year bear market since. Why are people hung up on the price of 2021? It's 2026! $ICP is a completely different protocol today! It's been non-stop creating, innovating and deploying solutions. The Internet Computer has so much potential! At the current price, I believe the protocol is drastically undervalued! We need to start evaluating #ICP based on what it is now, not what the price was years ago, and on what it actually offers in today's market. I currently believe that The Internet Computer has a bright future and the past price seems irrelevant.

The new Multidex from @dfinity has something called ICPUSD to represent USD. Some people have speculated this might imply an upcoming stable coin from Dfinity. I don't know more that anyone else, but I do have a hypothesis. I don't think it's a stable coin, I think it's just their internal representation of a USD balance on the DEX. When you deploy BTC, you place it under custody of the DEX and you get an internal balance of "BTC credits". When you buy and sell BTC on the DEX, your BTC credit balance goes up and down - you gain or give up claims to the BTC in the custody of the DEX - but no BTC has to move on-chain until you withdraw again from the DEX. Perhaps ICPUSD is just the same kind of internal "USD credits" that you have while trading in the DEX. You deploy some USDC or USDT (or ckUSDC/ckUSDT) or even use Stripe or similar to deposit actual USD (that could be used under the hood to buy USDC/USDT for custody). The USD in whatever form (maybe a mix of stable coins) is placed in the custody of the DEX, and you get "USD credits" a.k.a. ICPUSD. When you buy and sell your ICPUSD goes up and down, but no USDC/USDT moves on-chain. Only when you withdraw do we have to convert your ICPUSD to its claim on the USDC/USDT/Whatever in the custody of the DEX - perhaps the stable coins can even be automatically sold for real USD that can be sent to your bank account, who knows? The point is that for this to work Dfinity wouldn't have to create a new ICPUSD stable coin, if it's just what they call DEX internal USD credits. Maybe they will create a new stable coin, but this is what I suspect ICPUSD might be.

@juicyuceyy One big reason is ALL of that is led by @dfinity. What things are happening outside of them? Should be a decentralized community. Dfinity is just burning money and dumping $ICP onto retail.
