@ajki76 @jp_dawg After all that valuable information from you, I think he's going to buy ICP. He knows Near isn't NEAR-LY as good as ICP.

@jp_dawg Nice flip, but what Web3 set out to disrupt was centralized middlemen and that's precisely what $ICP replaces with decentralized infra and everything a user touches verifies cryptographically against a single public key, zero trust in operators required.

Always amazed by armchair experts confidently explaining what the people behind #InternetComputer architecture "got wrong." The people they’re critiquing include: • A co-inventor of BLS signatures , the same scheme securing Ethereum 2.0 • The co-inventor of Groth16, the zk-SNARK standard adopted by Zcash and beyond • The designer of the first non-interactive DKG and key re-sharing protocol. • A co-creator of WebAssembly and former Chrome V8 JavaScript team lead • The inventor of AsicBoost, the Bitcoin ASIC mining optimization • A co-inventor of the Cramer–Shoup cryptosystem • A co-inventor of Direct Anonymous Attestation, the privacy protocol in TPM security chips shipped in billions of PCs • The main inventor of Identity Mixer, the privacy-preserving authentication protocol suite from IBM Research • A winner of the Levchin Prize for real-world cryptography; Fellow of IACR, IEEE, and ACM with 140+ published papers • Former cryptography and mathematics professors at NYU, UCL, and RWTH Aachen • Former IBM Research cryptographers behind identity-based encryption, group signatures, and anonymous credentials • A former CTO of one of the first Bitcoin ASIC mining companies • The builders of the first production threshold-ECDSA protocol • The inventors of chain-key cryptography, allowing any device to verify the blockchain with a single public key • The authors of a peer-reviewed consensus protocol, published academically, not just posted as whitepaper • The inventors of vetKeys, a brand new cryptographic primitive for onchain privacy • Distributed systems researchers with decades of combined work on consensus, fault tolerance, and networking • Many more scientists and engineers who spent years inventing entirely new ways to solve these problems But sure, those people spent years designing a blockchain capable of fully decentralized hosting somehow missed an "obvious" flaw that a random influencer discovered between engagement bait posts. Pack it up, everyone. It’s over for $ICP , the expert has spoken.🤣
Classic@Classicxbt

Computation doesn't belong on-chain. Having every validator replicate expensive computation is fundamentally inefficient. $ICP tried to solve this by sharding, but sharding comes with real tradeoffs: weaker security assumptions, a larger attack surface, and fragmented trust.

The biggest problem with tokens on #ICP is the minting platforms. No ownership, constant shutdowns and I say no more. Want to build a token, want to own your canister? Well this will be possible in the near future. Time to upgrade the Eco!
ICP Renegades@ICPRenegades

Gonna take a break from cutscenes to work on building a minting platform where projects recieve sovereign control after bonding. No more worrying about platforms phasing out and losing your tokens and running out of cycles. You own the canister after the bond is met. #ICP

The entire stake never validates anything, a sampled fraction does, the full stake just bounds the odds of a bad draw. And with rollbacks gone in NEP-509, one bad draw is final. ICP takes a completely different approach: node operators are KYC'd and vetted, with provable investment in their own hardware worth ~$20K–$25K per node (most run several, so $100K+ ), and a 5-year contract with an independent datacenter that must offer two different ISPs with 10Gbps internet. Operators don't choose which subnet they run in , nodes are under NNS control. So not only are they heavily invested and publicly identified, they're also legally accountable: the signed declaration commits them to run compliant hardware and operate honestly, with explicit liability for any damages caused by dishonest behavior. Now compare that to anonymous operators, where you can't even prove that a single entity or a few of them don't control the majority of the network. Same core idea: subsets from one shared pool with different security assumptions underneath. $ICP set out to answer question: can you have genuine Web3, with everything onchain, with sufficient security and efficiency? Nobody had solved that, which is why so many top cryptographers and engineers spent years on it in one of the biggest R&D efforts crypto has seen. The network running today is their answer. Progress starts where old assumptions get dropped. The electric light did not come from the continuous improvement of candles.

$ICP Someone asks you why you invest in ICP. Show them this picture, this is all they need to know.! This type of conviction. The $517M is deceiving because that’s just based on current price, how many people staked when this was $10+. Once this takes off it’s gonna explode 🚀

Try Grok Build
Mark Kretschmann@mark_k

Grok Build news: @SpaceXAI is back with a banger! Some of the best changes in 0.2.105: • Grok 4.5 is now the default model, with high, medium, and low reasoning effort • /btw now works inside grok --minimal • New /summarize command for instant session summaries • Local shell tools now inherit your normal environment variables, aliases, and functions • Improved long-session compaction • Global rules are now discovered correctly • Smoother scrolling under load and on slow connections Plus a long list of bug fixes. Another seriously strong update.

Most people say they're long-term ICP investors. But here's the real test: If ICP dropped 30% tomorrow, would you: • Panic sell 📉 • Stay the same 🤝 • Buy more 🛒 No judgment—just curious how strong conviction really is in this community. Reply with: A = Sell B = Hold C = Buy More #ICP #InternetComputer #Crypto

A gift for all $ICP projects 🎁 AI bots crawl your website and take your content for nothing. We built a way to make them pay you instead. The standard is called x402. Link: mops.one/x402-gate Cloudflare, Mastercard, Visa, AWS and Stellar are already building on it, settling in USDC. Until now it lived on other chains. We brought it to the Internet Computer. A free, open source module. Add it to your site and AI crawlers pay you in USDC before they read a single page. Non custodial, the money lands in an address your own canister controls. We never touch it. @jerrybanfield already runs it on his ICP website. Independent build, no migration needed. Built into every migration we do by default. @mops_one @DFINITYDev @dfinity Mingle Berry Media

@Classicxbt There is absolutly 0 comparison possible between $ICP and $KAS. $ICP is a cloud provider, $KAS is a solution searching for a problem. Token ledger are a dead end: you have a nice tamper proof and fast blockchain, so now, how do you access it securely ? you can't, congrats.

@Classicxbt @ajki76 ICP puts entire businesses on the blockchain. Your Kaspa clown token is only good for sending tokens quickly. If you want to talk about speed, go debate with the Solana community instead.

@Classicxbt @ajki76 Why are you trying to compare the Kaspa meme token to ICP? Kaspa belongs in the same category as Shiba Inu and Dogecoin. If I want to send fast money, I’ll just use Visa. Just go away 🤷‍♂️

@ajki76 Dunno I’m not convinced. Of course it’s hard to get reliable data but for example this has openchat at 2.4k monthly users, so far my skepticism seems to track tokenterminal.com/explorer/proje… These numbers still make my spider senses tickle
