Flagged off eight new Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) vehicles; four double-cabins and four buses, raising the fleet to 158 nationwide. These additions will boost clinical training, enhance supervision, strengthen community health outreach and improve administration across campuses. With 91 campuses in 45 counties, KMTC produces 85% of Kenya's mid-level health workers, an anchor of the Taifa Care Model and Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Already, 11,058 students have reported, with 22,000 set to graduate by December, bolstering both national and global health workforces. I commended KMTC leadership for their vision, including expansion and more vehicles and reaffirmed the government's support through the Affordable Housing Programme for student hostels, as well as ongoing reforms to modernise infrastructure, recruit more lecturers and equip campuses for the future of healthcare.
