Completely wrong. The era of renting software as an enterprise is over. Bring back bespoke services, perpetual licenses, and complete control over your stack. Machine intelligence is too valuable to be shared and not owned. K&E might not even need anywhere near $500M to pull it off.

This is one of the most moronic decisions in recent years. Focus on your core. Shopify still uses Stripe. Enough said. Excited for Kirkland to join Legora when they fail with this.

UNIVERSAL CART AT GOOGLE I/O We talked about this on thecommercejournal.com - agents will surface the best possible card and loyalty to pay with. No more card affinity, the agent just recommends the best option. Google just showed us exactly that at i/o today.

These people are so unserious. What if @JoshuaKushner is just a legendary investor with convictions on AI x commerce? "Makes you wonder if the president’s son-in-law’s brother has access to a decent information network." Y'all sound like children.

With all due respect, this is a joke of an ad. VCs are in the business of backing bold projects to reshape the future. An attempt to create a robotic dog is your definition of slop? BigDog from Boston Dynamics led to the breakthroughs in balance that Unitree used today. Another part of that same "dog" is now used for inspecting nuclear, natural gas, and construction sites at $75k/unit. If you want to mock slop today, go make fun of the 1000th AI SDR. As @pmarca said, founders should find a VC that doesn't sneer at innovation.

Spectacular ad for GC to dunk on the current moment But "we actually have a really high bar for responsibility around these things" rings hollow when you're a major investor in kalshi and polymarket. Maybe I'm misreading the ad's intent

Has anyone built a graph-version of an LLM? I want to be able to split my chats with context so multiple different conversations can continue from the current state. I also want graphs or trees of this within a singular project. Preferably OS and BYOK. Something like @obsdmd x @claudeai.

In reality, this so called "permanent underclass" will actually be a "not so permanent middleclass". Even if AI leaves someone "behind" in the short run: 1. The leverage AI gives them does not disappear, technology is the ultimate source of social mobility if used correctly 2. The "underclass", or those who chose not to leverage tech for mobility, will still see the benefits of efficiency with more time on their hands and the proliferation of cheaper and higher quality experiences Thrive, Ari Emanuel's MARI, and more are making a secular (and correct) bet on that dynamic.
Andrew Ziperski@andrewziperski

Contrast the cultural frenzy around structural mass unemployment and a coming “permanent underclass” with the way smart money is investing. Thrive agreed to take a minority stake in a sports team. The AGI themes around scarcity, leisure, live entertainment, etc. are obvious. But this doesn’t strike me as a deal one makes if they expect mass unemployment in a post-AI world. Franchise values depend on lucrative TV deals, which depend on brand/advertiser willingness to pay, which is inherently a bet on strong American consumers, not ones reliant on meager UBI checks. LLMH announced a take-private of a corporate travel management business. The opportunity to infuse AI and deliver better customer experiences at higher margins is exciting. This deal, too, seems bullish for labor in a post-AI world. Corporate travel management is not particularly valuable if you believe mass unemployment is coming and humans will be replaced by agents; our little French colleague Claude doesn’t need an EWR-SFO ticket and a room at the 1 Hotel.

We’ve added interactive components in the essay so you can pressure-test our thesis as well. If you work in commerce, payments, fintech, or AI infra, this is the most important infrastructure moment in commerce since mobile. We would love to hear your thoughts. commercewithoutclicks.com

Every major new advance in technology rewrites commerce. Today, much of that commerce stack is built around one key assumption: that a human with a cursor and a credit card is shopping. That buyer is being replaced by an agent that doesn't browse, doesn't have emotions, doesn't care about your homepage, and will compare your catalog against a dozen others before your site finishes loading. Jasleen Kaur (@jasleen2020) and I laid out our vision for this new world in Commerce Without Clicks: where the pipes break, where they get rebuilt, and who we think captures the value.

@Lovable using client-side rendering seems like it should be disqualifying for any production app. What's the point if Google won't index your website well?
