A new cryptic lineage popped up in St Louis a few weeks ago. I’ve been sampling this sewershed (500k people) twice a week for years and the first time I see this cryptic lineage it is 5 years old and makes up 50% of the sample. 1/

@brownecfm Any concern with getting vaccinated every 6 months? I'm COVID-cautious, and I've usually gotten vaccinated every 6 months due to how rapidly protection fades, but aren't there risks (diminished effectiveness, myocarditis, immune imprinting, etc)? Curious about 6 vs 12 months.

Dave, this is pretty much what I do. I get vaccinated every six months, and I wear FFP2 / KN95 in all shared indoor public spaces. This integrates into my broader regimen of staying healthy - exercising regularly, maintaining a normal bodyweight, and neither smoking nor drinking.

I condemn today’s military escalation in the Middle East. The use of force by the United States & Israel against Iran, and the subsequent retaliation by Iran across the region, undermine international peace & security.   All Member States must respect their obligations under international law, including the Charter of the @UN. The Charter clearly prohibits “the threat of the use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Purposes of the United Nations.”   I call for an immediate cessation of hostilities & de-escalation. Failing to do so risks a wider regional conflict with grave consequences for civilians & regional stability. IQ is a relative measure. An IQ of 100 is defined as "intelligence of an average person" So number of people with any IQ will not change, and AI, since they do not suffer from any long-covid, will look smarter.

@augieray As said, IQ is a relative measure. It not only defines 100 as average intelligence but also defines 15 as the variance. 70 is defined to be 2 stds lower than average, which means it has a fixed rate of 2.27%.
