🚨Governor appoints Dr. Traxler (who oversaw COVID vaccine campaigns) as new Director of Public Health! Yesterday, legislators ousted her boss, Dr. Simmer, who managed SC’s controversial COVID response. Both spread questionable information and directives from the CDC and WHO (which later proved false) and pushed for shutdowns and mask & vaccine mandates despite objections from myself and other legislators. Terrible timing with a new “pandemic” arriving! We need a Director who puts South Carolinians first—not outside organizations or the medical lobby. Someone like the FL Surgeon General. Definitely not someone who mishandled the last pandemic. And we need a Governor who won’t constantly let conservatives down. The SC Senate must reject this appointment!

South Carolina Republicans — this matters. Today, the South Carolina Senate voted 40-0 to pass an amendment to H.3570 that would bring more transparency and accountability to our state party leadership. The amendment would require the SCGOP Chairman to file a Statement of Economic Interest so Republicans can see where money and influence are coming from. It would also require individuals being paid to advocate on legislation to register as lobbyists — something most people would consider common sense. Now, the House must decide whether to concur with the Senate amendment. Unfortunately, misinformation is already spreading to try and scare county party leaders and grassroots activists into opposing this bill. Let’s be clear: this legislation was specifically tightened to apply to state party leadership — not county chairs volunteering in their local communities. This isn’t about attacking anyone. It’s about transparency, accountability, and restoring trust through sunlight. Be respectful. Be positive. Be principled. Call, text, or email your State House Representative and ask them to vote YES on H.3570 as amended and concur with the Senate changes. South Carolina Republicans deserve to know where the money is coming from and what special interests are trying to influence the direction of our party.

If you look at the real map of New England you realize it isn't gerrymandered at all and the highly spread out Republicans are actually just fumbling 6 winnable seats every cycle. Republican candidates have won FOURTEEN of these districts in statewide races this past decade.

If Clyburn’s seat is removed, Democrats should immediately announce South Carolina will lose its primary position. We should not boost my home state’s economy with preferred status if this is how we’re treated.

Inflation up dramatically - a direct result of Trump's Iran war. Blaming others won't help. Without a change of course, Americans will keep paying the price.

When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit. Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero. We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run. That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.

Democrats always forget about Tim Scott because to Democrats, historically, they only view Black people as 3/5 of a person.

#NEW: A new lawsuit has been filed claiming Tennessee's new congressional map, which splits Memphis into three districts, intentionally discriminates against Black voters in violation of the 14th and 15th Amendments. aclu.org/cases/sherman-…

@SCVotersCo We moved from Colleton Co. to Dorchester Co. late last year. Not specifically because Clyburn but the obvious trade marks of Clyburn supporters. Rampant crime. Gangs, believe it or not. High catch & release of repeat offenders. No backbone city officials..

I guess Jim Clyburn thinks we are heading into a D +20 environment.

"The court didn’t rule in my favor so we must destroy it, pack it, or replace the judges" - Guy who calls Trump a threat to democracy

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) to South Carolina Republicans considering redistricting “Be very careful what you pray for, because what I do believe is that when they finish with the redistricting, there will be the possibility of at least three Democrats getting elected here in South Carolina to the US Congress.” Source: CNN
