@C2Antiquity @Rach4Patriarchy I understand the argument and appreciate your work. I just disagree with the framing. “Churches disagree” isn’t an argument for an infallible institution, it’s an argument for a standard. The real question is whether that standard is prior to the church or created by it.

Protestants: if the church is identified as the ground and pillar of truth 1 Tim 3:15: 1. is truth objective or subjective? 2. If objective how many churches are there?

@C2Antiquity @Rach4Patriarchy Why assume only 2 options, subjective fragmentation or one infallible church? If the church is the pillar of truth, does it make truth true or uphold what is already true? If the latter, why locate authority in the institution rather than the truth?

@calvinrobinson @jakedell73 The NT never restores a sacrificing priesthood. (Heb) Once-for-all sacrifice, no ongoing priestly class. “Apostolic” = fidelity to the gospel (Gal 1), not an unbroken chain of ordination. We have sacraments. We deny they require a sacrificing priesthood. Christ fulfilled it.

@jakedell73 The Priesthood of all Believers is not a Protestant doctrine. That is a universal/Catholic doctrine. The bit you are missing is the sacerdotal priesthood. You have no sacraments because you have no apostolic succession, and therefore no sacrifice.

@C2Antiquity @Rach4Patriarchy Notice the move, you’re swapping a standard for a label. The NT doesn’t say “look for one institution,” it says hold to the apostolic gospel. The true church IS where that’s faithfully taught, not where infallibility is claimed

@C2Antiquity @Rach4Patriarchy The question assumes one infallible institution, but the NT doesn’t say that. It presents the church as a real, visible, historical community that guards the truth by preserving the apostolic gospel. Its authority is real but accountable to Scripture ie the final norm.

Lol look at this weirdo. He changed his thumbnail and captioned it "VIDEO BACK UP?!" to dupe people into thinking it's my video that got put back up. This man got rhetorically dominated, intellectually manhandled, and worst of all - his ego got shattered.

Watching @TheMasters and seeing so few players long enough to go for 13 &15 now has taken away so much excitement and intrigue to the back nine. Another example of how longer isn’t always better.

Christ is risen. This is the single most significant event in history. Today is the day Christ was vindicated as the one whom the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms testified about. He took a small group of men and women, many of whom had just abandoned him and were terrified for their lives, and transformed them into bold proclaimers of his resurrection—the very message that took over the Roman Empire and spread throughout the entire world. If they could do this as a small, persecuted group, then all 2 billion+ of us can do it today. Go proclaim Christ every day of your life.

@austinmolt @kingmamba69_ @GodLogic_GL What a twisted interpretation. The man stopped calling jesus 'good' afterward, only teacher. He understood that jesus distanced himself from being called good since he isnt God, the only one who's 'good' is God.

Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. Salvation isn't found in Islam, Rabbinic Judaism, Mormonism, or Hinduism. It's found in Christ alone.

@kingmamba69_ @GodLogic_GL The key phrase is “Why do you call me good?” Jesus is forcing him to think through the implication of his words. The logic is essentially: 1. Only God is truly good. 2. You just called me good. 3. Do you understand what that means? Jesus isnt saying “I am not good.”

@GodLogic_GL Imagine God holding you accountable on the day of judgement for teaching blasphemy. Jesus himself never preached he was God. The bible itself mentions Jesus rejected this notion. Luke 18:19 "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone"

I am genuinely curious. I can’t think of a single argument made in my recent debate with God logic that he made that was meaningful and worthy of serious consideration. And I mean that in all seriousness because often after debates I feel the need to address any serious points made by the other side. Can someone who thinks I lost please explain what argument he made that most convinced you.

Wow. Just watched this debate (yes, it's there). Jacob you are seriously the definition of gaslighter. No one with any brain power will honestly think you won that debate, so I would consider every single point that Avery made. Also your debate style continues to show your defensiveness. You are snarky and rude. You get laughed at quite a bit and I'm sorry as that must be very embarrassing, but it is actually deserved. If this question is truly from a place of honesty (which I fear it's only more gaslighting), then there is much you can ponder if you're straight with yourself.

As evidenced by the multiple heresies committed by both your opponent and the audience who cheered along it is evident that most credal Christians don't even understand the doctrine of the trinity as taught by protestant leaders. Most people actually have a view that more closely aligns with the LDS view, they just don't know it. This is not surprising since the LDS view is the one that most accurately aligns with scripture.

There are a number of problems with claiming that the Catholics or Orthodox “gave us our Bible.” This is one. Each book was added to the actual canon of Scripture the moment they were written. They were not added later. Later they were more widely recognized but nobody ever made them Scripture. The Holy Spirit made them Scripture as they were written. Even though there are a variety of lists through Church history of what people thought the canon was, none of those lists successfully add or take away from the actual number of truly inspired books. They are just fallible human attempts to find and number the books already part of God’s canon. Kruger makes this point well in his work by trying to explain two different definitions of “canon.” One being the actual list of inspired books and the other being man’s attempts to identify that list.
