The gulf in knowledge between the West Coast and East Coast is wildly broader than I’ve ever experienced, in both directions. And widening further by the day.

@authorTWRose @pmarca Hmm yeah, being on the board of meta isn’t important, social media has no societal impact.

It is truly shocking to discover that legislators perhaps should not have allowed activists who spend their time chanting slogans on sidewalks all day to write an enormously complex law that overhauls the state’s electric grid. Next up: NYC Local Law 97, which is structured on the assumption the state decarbonizes the grid at the levels of the CLCPA. The key mechanism where the grid-decarbonization assumption enters Local Law 97 is the electricity emissions coefficient used to calculate building emissions.

"We keep hearing about this so-called NYSERDA memo, which I would characterize as Gov. Hochul's 'the Iraqis have weapons of mass destruction' moment," state Sen. Pete Harckham said on the senate floor today.

Every person on this train is lost in their iPhone, myself included. All except the homeless man asleep across the back seats. The only one not escaping reality is the one with nowhere else to go.

Word is @NYCSanitation is working overtime to produce Zohran’s snowstorm outfit for the weekend while City Hall is lining up a videographer “to make a fun snowman video” to run on @LinkNYC kiosks. DSNY leadership, however, is urging focus on snow removal, warning not to let this storm derail @nycmayor in his first month on the job—which is always a possibility.

This Councilmember’s dream is to enact a law, she just doesn’t know what she wants the law to do. Good luck to us all here’s hoping this dream law doesn’t apply to me 🤞… “What’s your dream bill to pass this year? I have been playing around with this idea of a participatory legislation where I gather information and go through kind of like the legislative process with my community members. So I don’t know the exact bill, but I would want that bill to come from my attempt to do that process with my community.”
