This is the thing I don’t get. People in the comments mention a fair point with how there’s this crippling fear of being caught in the act during an ecchi scene, but clearly the majority of prudes aren’t experiencing this problem. A lot of them straight up will screenshot a frame/scene and post it up to their pages for everyone to see while complaining it was unnecessary and icky. The thing with puritans is that their immediate assumption is anyone who watches fan service is gonna get off to it, objectify irl women, perhaps hornypost about it while they themselves don’t want to or can’t. Yet for some wild reason, they still just have to insert themselves in other people’s affairs and make snap judgments about said people in a way that’s genuinely condescending, as if the mere idea of the act is directly affecting them. While having urges or a response is natural, some people can still sit through it without any visceral response and still not make it a matter of “slop for losers that ruined this media” It also goes without saying but this mentality is gonna make it a miserable minefield navigating different works just to find one you aren’t perturbed by. At that point you’re gonna start doing the media equivalent of checking the nutritional info labels on the back of supermarket products for every single thing you watch/read. Just an awfully depriving way to go about enjoying media all around.

I don't even really watch ecchi things or very overtly sexual things very often, most 'fanservice' never gets me aroused and doesn't target me. I just don't understand that kind of anxious fear of them like they're poison or nuclear radiation.

Googleドライブがデータ内容を勝手に判別してアカウント停止する問題。見るのは自分だけでも問答無用。「このデータはダメだよー」と一部だけ弾くことも技術的に可能な筈なのに、しっかりアカウントごと停止と馬鹿にならないペナルティを与えるのは犯罪者扱いの要素が混じっているように感じる。 何より問題なのは、どういう表現がダメなのかの説明もされないし、それらのラインもシームレスに変更可能。誤判定も顧みられない。 今後、これらの統制がますます厳しくなっていくだろうことから、「表現の自由を大切にするデータストレージ」を今まで以上に評価し積極的に応援していくべきかも知れない。
