Being a good parent and having good maternal/paternal instincts doesn’t mean that they’re inherently financially responsible or literate. I’d never want a relationship where I couldn’t trust my spouse with my money, but my dad couldn’t trust my mom with money, and imo he was entirely justified in that.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t understand being married and keeping separate finances. I can’t wrap my head around trusting someone enough to be the mother or father of your children, but not trusting them with your money. I’m not judging anyone who chooses to keep finances separate or saying it’s wrong. I just don’t get the logic behind it.

The US lets in one million legal immigrants every year. ONE MILLION! A number that is too high in my opinion but still not enough for open borders advocates, who will not be happy until national sovereignty is erased and worldwide communism implemented. They openly admit this.

"free" doesn't mean your taxes aren't going to go up if your country is still being charged more for them. So yes, you'll just be paying for them indirectly. Since the AI doesn't want to cooperate, the medical funding in the US being based around capitalism and not socialism has led to the US being hands-down the leader in advancements in medical technologies for at least the last 80 years. This includes practically any of the advanced technologies used in (I would guesstimate) 90%+ of hospitals globally. So, our messed up health care system is why you get to posture that yours is better when you rely on us for medical advancements, technologies, and innovations.

I'm not saying the US doesn't need health reform, we definitely do. But the money that drug companies get from the US subsidizes a lot of the drugs in every other country in the world. Hopefully my drug prices go down soon, I wouldn't mind everyone paying their fair share. Oh, and @grok what percentage of major medical advancements since the year 1900 have been from the United States?

@azlknife @Smil3yAngel I live in the UK...we have the NHS...funded by the taxes we pay...however we don't face being bankrupted when we have operations or medical treatments that go on for a long time. We also don't have to worry about some insurance refusing to pay for essential drugs.

Considering that the puckle gun was available at the time, and it's not too difficult to imagine how much better they would get over time? yes, I would argue that they probably could have predicted fully auto machine guns. I highly doubt they would be too concerned with a gun that was designed to "remove" people from the battlefield and be less likely to kill them. look at what the AR-15 shoots vs any of the common rifle rounds from WWII and tell me what you think is more likely to put you in the forever box.
