@ASalvadorini Interesting, I have used Bloc/Cubits a lot in my time. Will need to try out your new state management and see what it is all about. Been out of the Flutter game for a few months now.

Can someone remind we why we don't use gRPC for everything?

@luke_pighetti Been using Twirp with buf.build at @teamlollipopAI for ages. So awesome in terms of fast API development, versioning and easy documentation. We focus on customer impact, so easy to work at speed once we moved from REST. Need to write a blog post on it.

So now that it's December. When will the code freeze start at your company, assuming you have one? Also, now that the App Store isn't closed during the holidays, does this change anything with the code freeze?

First time in my whole app development history: Apple accepted my app and Google rejected it 🤯. Gonna mark this in my calendar 📅.

New era for the sports industry It's time for folks to really start looking at how spatial computing will change sports for ever. What used to cost millions and take weeks, can now happen in real-time and cost close to nothing. 🧵 A thread

@biz84 💯 I have come across a lot of Clean Architecture Zealots - layers for no good reason because it’s “clean” I think there is a certain level of feeling safe in something they kind of understand and don’t want to think about why/what they are doing it.

I don't understand why some people are obsessed with Clean Architecture. Sure - when you build complex apps, you want your code to be scalable, maintainable, and testable. And a good choice of app architecture can help immensely with these things. But why blindly follow advice from an (academic) book that was never written with reactive, declarative frameworks in mind (modern web apps and Flutter were not even a thing back then). No wonder people stumble and fail when they try to apply Clean Architecture to Flutter. Their time would be much better invested in understanding the challenges of modern app development and designing architectures around that.

The funny thing about the state management debate in Flutter is no one is forcing anyone to use anything. If you want to use setState 👍 If you want to use ChangeNotifier 👍 If you want to use Riverpod 👍 If you want to use Bloc 👍 If you want to use Mobx 👍 Something else 👍

@felangelov Totally agree, I don’t want to look at Flutter tweets on X - as it is a cesspit of people rippin on others work. Someone posts an article then a bunch of people, trying to be thought leaders, picking it apart. Feels toxic there needs to be an attitude change for better debates

I know many companies and apps that are built with #Flutter. I want to create this thread as one of the sources to refer to those companies or teams using Flutter or Dart. Leave your app/company name below in the thread & let's make a HUGE list together. Let's get started. 👇

Guess what game engine I used for this? A: It's #FlameEngine on top of @FlutterDev. This is the result of combining fragment shaders with some oof the great APIs on Flame. Namely: CameraComponent and Collision detection. Made this for #flutterConfLATAM cc: @TechnicalKn0ck
