@benjamincowen @i887203 So why does it follow a 4 year cycle then? Why specifically to Bitcoin?
English

Basically, people find a narrative to explain price action.
If BTC were putting in new highs right now, people would be like "See! I told you! The crypto admin is bullish and crypto is going up!" Or they would say "See! I told you! BTC is following M2!"
But because it's not, they make up a new narrative which is "BTC price is down because of the ISM," or "BTC price is down because Clarity Act has not passed."
You can always find a reason to explain the markets. But often times, those reasons are notoriously absent when trends change.
If the ISM were so obvious, then why were so many focused on M2 last year?

One of the biggest mistakes that many investors have made betting on mania in crypto is that they never really seem to be able to articulate a different view.
When their view does not pan out on the timeframe they gave, they change the timeline and use different reasons for why it will happen.
Last year the reason was M2 and how BTC had to follow M2 (even though BTC always tops before M2).
This year many use the ISM the same way they used M2 last year.
No matter your position, you can always find a narrative to try and support it.
It’s important to recognize that this is just narrative chasing.
Narrative follows price, not the other way around.
You can use the price trends to develop a narrative, but you cannot use a narrative to develop the price trend.
Unfortunately, because the mania predictions are typically never challenged, it causes a lot of people to hold useless investments as they are always chasing the next narrative that gives them hope.
My recommendation is to stop focusing on narratives and instead focus on actual price trends in the market.
Once you do that, you will also likely come to the same conclusions that the news does not matter and that narratives follow price.

@benjamincowen The reality is, Bitcoin continues to grow in dominance, its returns are reducing, and alt coins are less and less relative.
People that made huge gains in alt coins last 2 cycles will struggle to accept that.

I spent the last 2 months calling for ETH to drop 30% and ALT/BTC pairs to get annihilated.
And yet the guys who tweeted about me non-stop telling you I’d be wrong, are now deleting all their old tweets and pretending they were right.
When will their followers have enough of the same garbage day in and day out?
There is never any self reflection or attempt to grow from wrong calls on the market, just the constant “alt season” calls followed by inspirational quotes.
It all gets tiresome after a while. Why even bother with making predictions if the people who shame you will not admit any wrongdoing when all their predictions end up being wrong?
I’m growing weary of all of this. Making a prediction, spending 2 months listening to people say I will be wrong, and then when it happens they just delete their wrong posts and act like they knew it was coming.

@BJK1B2K @100trillionUSD I believe it means the price will never be lower than that point again

On second thought, @MKBHD coverage of Tesla’s Robotaxi is quite poor. And I don’t appreciate his framing of people who had early access.
Kind of a douchey thing to do TBH, implying that initial people gaining access were somehow trying to hide issues.
You literally used my footage of the RoboTaxi doing something stupid. If I was trying to hide something, why would I show it? Why omit me saying that it clearly did something stupid afterwards?
However I don’t blame him for feeling the way he does towards Tesla, given that they’ve had his Roadster reservation for as long as they did. But throwing shade at me, and others, for trying to hide stuff is bullshit.
