I'm shocked, SHOCKED that AHPRA would impose conditions on a medical professional who repeatedly and prominently rejected the science of his own field, and leveraged his professional credentials to make wild claims that lacked an evidentiary foundation - placing his own philosophies behind established standards of patient care in ways that stood to stigmatize patients. Just shocking. Can't believe it. Who could have seen it coming. It'll be interesting to see if @JCU maintains him as a lecturer. They backed him before - actively publishing a press release promoting his views under their masthead - but I wonder if they'll determine they have a duty to suspend him now too?

In Jan, I told Rachel Baxendale her anti-trans article relied on an “expert” linked to the Australian Christian Lobby with serious credibility issues. She ignored it. Now that 'expert' has been suspended by Australia’s peak psychiatry body.

@MikeCarlton01 Funny how the RWNJs moaning about the $300M allegedly spent in pursuit of Big Ben don't worry about the millions spent dealing with Brucey's vexatious appeals, nor the millions paid to Linda Reynolds for being an awful boss, and for alleged damage to a self-trashed reputation.

Lisa and Peter are my dear friends. They paid a heavy financial and emotional price for this, for standing for the truth. But they were strong and never wavered, and at last they have been vindicated.
