Alberta isn’t asking for permission. It’s deciding whether this federation still works for Albertans. The rest of Canada can have opinions. They don’t get a veto.

Blows my mind that some separatists think the rest of Canada shouldn't have a say in what happens to Alberta when Alberta is part of Canada. It takes a special level of self-importance to believe a decision that affects 40+ million people is somehow only your business.
