Hacks have been an acceptable 'vig' on the entire space while returns have also been acceptably high i.e., you would happily pay 2-3% vig at a casino to play against fish.
The Space is now forced to seriously evaluate if this continues to be acceptable in a world where the consensus is saying returns are lower going forward.
Expecting DeFi TVL to bleed lower before it goes higher (which it will).

If every team in DeFi just made the default assumption that every other team they work with was incompetent, we would run into a lot fewer of these problems.
Ironically the trust in competence causes a lot of the heartache down the line.

ngl feels pretty bleak for defi innovation at this stage, especially for the composability side as the spillover effects from any hacks go beyond a single protocol hunker down and critically re-evaluate your security setup is the right approach currently

Sir John Soane's Museum is a delight. It is kept as it was when he was alive, with his incredible collection of art, architectural models and antiquities on display throughout the house. It's beautiful and dense with interesting things. A must-visit when in London!
