You run into this sentiment a lot which is ironic given the past 15 years of ‘stuck culture.’
If you actually cared about art (and were less invested in weird parasocial relationships) you would be screaming at artists to free themselves from the muck of ‘politics’ and pseudo-morality that has made cultural life so inane and tedious over the past decade.
It’s desperate and sad to want to be part of the thing so badly that you can no longer offer an honest appraisal of what’s wrong.
