@aaron_renn Depends what the "task" is and what is meant by "complete," but this is directionally quite correct and all the pearl-clutching by many anti-ai folks just shows they lack either the skill or maturity to use it wisely.

Ultimately, our church will be okay. Jesus is risen from the dead. He is our treasure. Heaven is our home.
The issue is that what’s happening is wrong, and it’s the obligation of our elected officials to punish wrongdoing. I’m appealing to that obligation.

Harvard just released a study showing AI outperformed human doctors in an emergency room setting.
The study is based on 76 emergency room cases in a Boston hospital. OpenAI's "o1-preview" went up against two human doctors described as "expert attending physicians."
AI correctly diagnosed in 67.1% of the cases. The individual scores for the two human doctors were 55.3% and 50.0%.
AI proved especially adept at diagnosing rare diseases and complex cases.
I see this as a positive step into the future. Working together, AI will make doctors so much more competent and effective.
