Picture this: The U.S. is Avon Barksdale. He runs his corners (the economy), and he doesn’t want just anyone moving product (goods) in his territory without paying up. That’s where tariffs come in—they’re like street taxes. Now, let’s say China is Marlo Stanfield. He’s pushing his product heavy, undercutting Avon’s boys with cheaper prices. Avon’s losing control of his corners. So what does he do? He throws up tariffs—forces Marlo to pay a fee every time his product touches the block. But here’s the thing— Just like in The Wire, the game always pushes back. Marlo ain’t eating that loss—he raises his prices, so the fiends (a.k.a. U.S. consumers) end up paying more. Now Avon’s boys still struggling, and the block is tense. Meanwhile, Stringer Bell (a.k.a. the economists) is in the back like, “We need a legit business plan, not just muscle.” Because long-term, this kind of trade war? It messes up alliances, jacks up costs, and can slow down the whole operation. ⸻ Bottom line: Tariffs are like taxing rival crews for hustling on your block. Sounds tough, but if not handled smart, everybody pays—and the streets stay hot.

Yesterday I was sent a horrible video of a man filming a woman in the gym to make fun of her size. I immediately sent it to 24 Hour Fitness. One day later the video has been removed and his membership has been revoked. Being “skinnier” or in better shape than someone does NOT make you better than them or mean you can treat them that way. Anyone in the gym working hard to better themselves deserves your respect and support. Thank you @24hourfitness for doing the right thing!

Nebraska voted for racism. They voted to hurt other people. They voted for the deportation of brown people. They didn't realize it would hurt them. After watching so many documentaries and interviews about her... I really don't know how to feel about her. I know y'all think she's guilty but there's so much most of you haven't seen since it actually happened... And if you know how the legal system (and the media!) works you know it can bum rush people! I know she fucked up she certainly wasn't perfect but I don't know if she did the deed... And I hate not knowing because for years I totally thought she was 100% guilty.
