Peacemaking is not a new invitation. 20 years ago in Priesthood Session of General Conference, President Gordon B. Hinckley invited men of the Church to be kinder to one another. In essence— to be peacemakers. He asked, "Why do any of us have to be so mean and unkind to others? Why can’t all of us reach out in friendship to everyone about us?" President Hinckley gave particularly straightforward counsel to those who used racial slurs or other disparaging remarks. He taught, "I remind you that no man who makes disparaging remarks concerning those of another race can consider himself a true disciple of Christ." All of the prophets throughout history, and especially the Savior, have taught us to be kind and love one another despite our differences. This message to men of the Church is one that is still echoed by the brethren today. Peacemaking is not new. "There is no end to the good we can do, to the influence we can have with others. Let us not dwell on the critical or the negative. Let us pray for strength; let us pray for capacity and desire to assist others. Let us radiate the light of the gospel at all times and all places, that the Spirit of the Redeemer may radiate from us."

@JasminRappleye @RoughStoneTroll The LDS say they are happy but there's not much really to suggest they are. And given that they believe consequentialism is a valid argument they are highly motivated to lie and say they are happy
