@metavarce Sure - money market funds or treasuries held at a brokerage. Brokerage firm is just the custodian, even if they go bust the funds are in your name, they’re not on the brokerage’s balance sheet

Is there no paid private alternative / version to FDIC? Feels like any Series A+ startup would logically pay to insure their excess deposits, which makes more sense than opening 40 bank accounts.. Yummy isn’t affected by the SVB situation, but have been thinking a lot about it.

@jackiegschafer The powerful thing about NPS is being able to discern patterns from just those single answer responses when correlated with other customer experience data. But you’re right that that does take a certain volume of observations.

@jackiegschafer That’s probably fair. Although if you object to taking time to click on a number line, my guess is you’ll really have a problem with sitting down for a focus group :)

Hot take: investors in B2B startups should stop the obsession with NPS scores. Usage + customer interviews tell you so much more and are far more useful to the company. A thread:

@jackiegschafer In my experience NPS surveys are powerful for diagnosing things that delight customers (that you should do more of) and things that are frustrating them (that you want to eliminate). I’ve seen them used to guide & drive transformations in customer satisfaction

Don't pressure founders into spending their valuable time (and in many cases, $$ dev time) building a way to convince customers to actually click on a number so they can produce an NPS score for investors.
