@barredinindia

Too dangerous for democracy, too loud for silence. Barred in India because truth travels faster than propaganda.

A Dream Born in Protest, Growing into Reality. In the darkest of times, when the farmers protest was met with walls of fake news and silenced voices, a thought came to me we as a community had nothing that was truly ours. Voices of truth were being banned, blocked, and buried. That was when the seed was planted. From that seed grew Panjab Social. Within months, it became a home for nearly 9,000 of us. The feedback, encouragement, and support you gave me were priceless and deeply humbling. Every suggestion, every word of encouragement reminded me that this wasn’t just about creating an app, it was about giving people a voice that could not be silenced. Then came a bigger task. We stopped new sign-ups, not because we lost momentum, but because Waheguru blessed us with a greater vision: to build something unique, something free and fearless, something as boundless as the Baaz (Falcon) of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. And so, IKK was born. Built on the value of Ikk (One), it is not just for Panjab, not just for Sikhs, but for anyone who has ever been silenced, manipulated, or targeted. It is designed to end the plague of fake accounts spreading hate, to ensure women’s safety, to hold people accountable for their actions while still protecting privacy. This platform is not only a place to connect, share, and speak it’s also a full e-commerce solution for businesses, a home for journalists and newspapers with special features to publish freely, and a safe space for communities worldwide to thrive. Today, with folded hands, I ask for your support once again. 🙏 • Subscribe to stay updated. • Join our surveys. • And if you wish, be part of the beta testing when the time comes. This dream, this effort, is dedicated to Panjab, my community, and Sarbat. Together, we can build something that is truly ours. For the first time, many ordinary Indians are experiencing what Sikhs have lived with for years voices muted, accounts permanently withheld, narratives controlled. This is my 4th account now 3 being permanently withheld in India and I’m not alone People often ignore injustice when it happens to someone else, believing silence will protect them. But history repeats the same lesson when you stay quiet as others are silenced, eventually the silence reaches your own door. @CJP_2029

@HelleLyngSvends is a force of nature. With one simple, precise, and fearless question, she cut straight through layers of spin and exposed the cracks in the entire Indian narrative. That’s what real journalism looks like not loud, not biased, not performative. Just sharp, well informed, and grounded in the courage to ask the right question at the right moment. She didn’t need a monologue or theatrics, her clarity did the work. A good journalist doesn’t chase noise they challenge power, demand accountability, and let truth do the talking. Helle Lyng Svendsen did exactly that, and set the standard in the process, what a legend. 🫡

Constitution that is on paper, minorities and woman have no rights, criminals roam free, corruption from top to bottom. People are in jail even after serving sentences, people are in jail on trumpeted up charges. The so called leader can’t take questions. India is a JOKE x.com/ANI/status/205…

@tehseenp Hi, I did not mean to offend you. I was just referencing India’s placement at the Reporters Without Borders Press Freedom Index. Thank you for the feedback.

I am amongst the voice of the opposition in INDIA & everyday I attack the government on television & social media, am severely critical of the PM & his ministers and no one has ever taken any action against me. I find it offensive you compare my country's press freedom with Emirates or Cuba ! Sure all INDIAN's would want even greater freedom of speech but your comparison of freedom of media in INDIA being comparable with regimes that police FoS is absolutely false & unfortunate! Wish you luck!! @HelleLyngSvends

Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to. Norway has the number one spot on the World Press Freedom Index, India is at 157th, competing with Palestine, Emirates & Cuba. It is our job to question the powers we cooperate with.

@MrsGandhi @narendramodi I verified myself today, because I had a typo I wanted to edit and I had to pay to edit it. Then I got the blue mark. And yes, I am usually more active on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

From disrupting a press briefing to demanding a one-on-one with PM @narendramodi, that escalated quickly. Even then, the Indian Embassy was kind enough to extend courtesy and invite her to a proper press meet, offering a fair chance to ask questions. But with her new demand for a one-on-one interview, entitlement seems to be the real agenda here. Check her timeline, a barely active handle, with a handful of followers, suddenly verified just days ago, now demanding exclusive access to one of the world’s most popular leaders??? For a chit-of-an-intern like yourself, @HelleLyngSvends, what credentials justify this level of audacity???
Helle Lyng@HelleLyngSvends

@IndiainNorway Yes, I am already signed up. Will I also be able to interview Modi?

Every right-wing movement from Sydney to London, from New York to Delhi has spent years trying to pull Sikhs into their fold, hoping to weaponise Sikh identity for their own politics. Yet time and again, they have failed. That failure says more about Sikhs than any slogan ever could. Because we Sikhs, at our core, have never been built to blindly bow to power, nationalism, race politics, or manufactured hate. History shows Sikhs have stood with principle over propaganda, with sovereignty over submission, and with justice over tribal politics. Empires have tried to co-opt us, governments have tried to tame us, and ideological groups across the spectrum have tried to claim us but Sikhs have always remained distinct. You can disagree with Sikhs, criticise us, even fear our independence of thought, but one thing is undeniable we cannot be easily absorbed into someone else’s agenda.
