Anthropic better leave Fable up until the end of the day tomorrow, since they had it offline all of July 1st. If they don't, that would be a massive kick in the face.

GPT Sol Ultra via the API will cost nearly 50% less than Fable 5. For effectively the same result (according to benchmarks). Mark my word: once Sol Ultra is released to the public, Fable will be re-included into subscriptions in order to compete.

Opus at this point is at a class similar to Kimi and GLM indeed. Many people switched. The real SOTA models are Fable, GPT 5.5, and the upcoming GPT 5.6. Those models are what make a difference between open models and closed ones. Opus can be marginally better than open models, and that is it.

"Fable 5 will be included for up to 50% of weekly usage limits through July 7", Suicide move if not reverted: 1. Opus is a *very* weak model. 2. GPT 5.6 will reach a similar agreement and will be available in the flat plan soon I guess.

Hot take: a lot of people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if they were randomly routed between gpt-5.5, opus-4.8, or fable-5 for their day to day work

Fable has much stronger demand than OpenAI’s cyber model which is why this isn’t currently prevalent. Or am I missing something

@jxnlco the computer use, browser, and chrome plugins themselves disappear fully everywhere including the plugin store. This happens after signing out and back in or into a diff account. I then tell codex to investigate and fix it, which it always does
