@LieslMcconchie The fact you left out “charter” in your initial post paints public schools as the problem. 🙄 Charters do not have to comply to the same rules as public schools.

My kids have attended this public charter school for the past 3.5 years. I spent that time donating thousands of $$ and hours to help the school understand their role in community health. (aka - schools are a hotbox for illness, but don't have to be.)

🚨Today my 3 children (6, 9, 10) were expelled ("unenrolled") from public school for excessive absences.🚨 WHY? Cuz I don't: - send them to school when they're sick - send them to school when illness is above a threshold outlined by their pediatrician. The full story⬇️🧵
