MCP connectors are now available in Basedash. Basedash already reads from your databases and SaaS tools. Now it can act on them too. Connect any MCP server (Linear, HubSpot, Slack, Resend, Notion, GitHub, your own internal one) and the Basedash agent gets new tools it can use right inside chat. Try it today.

We've been launching something new at Basedash every week for the past 5 weeks. We're a small team, so we've been leaning heavily into AI to help generate all the assets associated with each launch: - teaser video - gallery images - feature page - blog post - docs page After 5 weeks, we've got it down to a science. One quick prompt into @cursor_ai (cloud multi-repo) describing the feature and everything gets generated. @Remotion for the video + images @astrodotbuild for the website changes @mintlify for docs updates This week's launch is Skills. Check it out (and all the generated assets) here: producthunt.com/products/based…

I went to NYC with @MaxMusing. He spent the whole trip talking to his coding agent.

OpenAI's GPT-5.5 is now live in Basedash. It is noticeably better at anomaly detection across large schemas. We're already hearing from our customers that their proactive insights have gotten significantly deeper. Try it now to see for yourself.

We're trying to ship a launch every week at Basedash now. Two weeks in a row so far. Automations last week, dashboard agent yesterday. The goal is to keep this up as long as humanly possible. 3-person team, weekly launches. Let's see how far we can push it.

NEW: today we're releasing our Dashboard Agent. The first AI agent that can build entire dashboards end-to-end. No need to describe the chart types, metrics or time series. The AI does that all for you. Build dashboards in seconds, not afternoons.

When we first launched Basedash over a year ago, our vision was to be the most AI-native BI platform on the planet. Back then, the state of the art was simple text-to-SQL within the query editor of a single chart. Meanwhile, we actually had a prototype of this full-dashboard agent (but it wasn't good enough to launch). Now that models (and our internal harness) have evolved, we're excited to bring the dashboard agent to everyone. Connect any company data, tell it what you want to track, and we'll build the dashboard for you.

Some Basedash lore: this was the exact thesis behind our pivot to BI. From about 2011 until literally last year, it was widely believed you couldn't displace Looker, Power BI or Tableau. As company-wide products that were quasi systems of record, the switching costs were too high. It wasn't enough to have a 10x better alternative; that alone wouldn't justify the pain of ripping Tableau out of your company and replacing it with an alternative. Our belief in 2024 was that AI would change this. Specifically, we knew AI would unlock 100x better self-serve analytics: if a product was AI-first, then your average employee would ACTUALLY use it, instead of relying on a data team... or worse, making decisions based purely on vibes. We white-boarded the whole market shift in 1.5 hours, then got to building. Everyone told us this was a terrible way to build and go-to-market, but we had enough conviction to do it our way. Luckily our thesis ended up being correct, and we have many, many happy customers who have switched their entire companies over from Tableau etc. to Basedash :)

SaaS Challengers @snowmaker AI has collapsed the cost of producing software by 10–100x, and the moat that once protected legacy SaaS, millions of lines of code built over decades, is gone. That's bad news for incumbents and great news for startups.
