The unnerving thing about this clip is Hasan saying he thinks winning primaries is the real challenge and beating Republicans will be easy.
I assume El-Sayed and Hong will win their primaries and I’m open to the idea that they can win their general elections in this cycle, with the fundamentals as favorable as they are. Especially compared to the alternatives. I never thought much of Stevens and WI was a train wreck.
But when you listen to folks like AES, Hong, and Hasan, they sound much more passionate about fighting Democrats than fighting Republicans.
There were hints of this in Platner‘s weird pivot to the general election, when he never seemed to get on his front foot and led out with that weird Epstein class ad. He was getting stomped by Collins among working class voters even before the scandals that forced him out of the race.
I worry that these folks have no idea what’s
coming.
And the stakes could not be higher.

So to be clear: Abdul El-Sayed put out a tweet asking his followers not to be personally abusive or insulting about Haley Stevens. Stevens put out a tweet personally attacking El-Sayed for being a person who blames his defeats on Jewish Americans. Just a disgusting slander.

Lifelong Jewish Democratic voter with a master’s degree here, and I’ll be leaving that race blank if El-Sayed is the nominee. He’s alienating historically reliable voters like me and my dad, who is an attorney and lifelong Dem voter.

Contrary to what some might believe I'm not sure we'll see the Jewish vote in Michigan go for Mike Rogers if El-Sayed wins the primary. A lot of Jews in America are secular and college educated which are two demographics that vote reliably Democratic.

I am going to put my foot down and say that if this is the result next Tuesday, MI Dems will lose a senate seat (and they should) and, probably, their chance of taking back the senate. Meaning (at the very least): two more years of Trump shaping the judiciary of the country.

⚠️ Muslim Man Killed Defending Woman From Islamophobic Attack
Belgium — A Muslim shopkeeper who stepped in to defend a Muslim woman from racist and Islamophobic abuse on a Brussels tram has died after being beaten so badly that he succumbed to his injuries.
Driss Atouane, who managed a supermarket in the Schaerbeek district, intervened after a man directed racist and anti-Muslim remarks at a woman aboard Tram 55 in the municipality of Evere.
According to the victim's relatives, Driss was struck from behind with a heavy object after confronting the attacker. He collapsed to the ground, where the suspect continued to kick him until several young men intervened to stop the assault.
Driss, who remained conscious after the attack, was taken to Brugmann University Hospital in Schaerbeek. His condition later deteriorated and he fell into a coma before dying on Sunday morning.
