@Mikeliberation Your friend truly failed. He knew he was coming for an interview and therefore must have been prepared for it that day and shelve any other engagement until after the interview. What is I have other commitments? Sounds arrogant.

One of my classmates sent out his CV last week and got a response from the MD of a company last night, inviting him for an interview by 9 a.m. today. Around 7 a.m. this morning, the MD called him again and said the interview venue had changed, but the time remained the same. Luckily for him, the new location was even closer to where he lives. He got there about 10 minutes before 9 a.m. and was told to wait a little. By 9:15 a.m., he called the MD just to let him know he had arrived. The man told him to wait another 10 minutes because he was in a meeting. My classmate waited… and waited. After over one hour and twenty minutes, he quietly carried his bag and left. About 15 minutes later, the MD called him and asked where he was. My classmate replied, “Sir, I already left.” The man sounded shocked and asked why he would leave after being told to wait. My classmate replied: “I have other commitments today, sir. I can’t work for someone who doesn’t respect time.” The MD replied, "That was the interview and you failed". Was my classmate too impatient?

1. My son, currently in 400 Level Medicine and Surgery scored 333 in JAMB but his name did not even APPEAR on the Admission List. I was later told by the Institution that, my son could be offered Micro Biology. I told the Registrar of the institution POINT BLANK that, "I have spent HUGELY (Several Millions of Naira) to get my Son to this Point of Entry (PoE) to become a Medical Doctor and not to become a Biology Teacher through her offer of Micro Biology. This Registrar was so MEAN. She simply told me, we are very sorry, Micro Biology is the BEST we can OFFER your son. 2. At this Juncture, I proceeded to JAMB Headquarters, Abuja to meet with Prof. Oloyede who swiftly asked for my son's JAMB details, punched these details into his laptop and everything concerning the university came up on his screen. 3. Prof. Oloyede said and I quote: "Dr. Muyiwa Kayode, please go back home and sleep with your two eyes closed. From what I am seeing on my screen, your son is No.3 on the List of Medicine and Surgery of this institution with a JAMB SCORE of 333 which comes behind two other JAMB scores of 348 & 334 respectively. Unfortunately, none of these chaps, including your Son (i.e JAMB Score 348, 334 and 333) made the Admission List" 4. Prof. Oloyede continued and I quote: "Dr. Muyiwa Kayode, in SANE countries, this Institution should have sent the College Driver with an official vehicle to go and fetch your son from Ekiti to campus having projected himself into the MERIT LIST of this Institution but unfortunately, the endemic corruption in these institutions will just not allow them to follow Due Process" 5. Right in my presence, Prof. Oloyede put a call through to the Vice Chancellor of this Institution, setting his phone on speaker and spoke angrily at the Vice Chancellor, lamenting on the endemic corruption under his nose as it concerns university admission. This Vice Chancellor apologized to Prof. Oloyede saying what has just happened must have been an ERROR of OVERSIGHT on the part of his Management Team & promised Prof. Oloyede that he will personally ensure the Error of Oversight is corrected. 6. Within 24 hrs of that conversation between Prof. Oloyede and the Vice Chancellor, my son checked the university's Admission Portal and discovered his name has been INCLUDED as Number Three on the admission list while the names of the other chaps that scored 348 & 334 also appeared on the admission list as Number One and Number Two respectively. 7. The good news in all of these is that, my son that would have been CRIMINALLY denied admission ab-initio now TOPS his class with a G.P.A of 4.85 This is neither Federal nor State government doing... Every sector of the economy in Nigeria is corrupt. Photo: Prof Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board ( JAMB )

This officer you are seeing, he is what is called a Divine Grace. He suffered when he was a Major. Infact he was relegated from 47RC to 48RC when he was in the Academy. He was even retired from the Army. And, two years after the former COAS Ihejirika asked him to be brought back!

@EBona69 The reason why you see the impacts of that Governor is bcos there's Peace in that land and the peace in that land is bcos the people were given what they voted for, I'm just wondering why are some Governors awarded the best when infact Governor Otti is d most outstanding of all.

“Do You Have Any Challenges?” — Otti’s Priority to Security Explained in One Action “Do you have any challenges?” Those were the direct words of Governor Alex Otti to a military officer at the Ndoki Road Primary School military base during his routine road inspection tour last Sunday. Governor Otti had moved from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he worshipped earlier that morning, down to Afule Road on his routine inspection visits. From there, he proceeded to Umuchichi Road and Etche Road. On his way to Obohia Road, he transversed the Etche Road section of Ngwa Road heading towards Ahia Ohuru. Immediately after the junction leading to Ohanku Road, where the military base along Ngwa Road is situated within part of the Ndoki Road School premises, Governor Otti suddenly signalled his convoy to stop. It wasn’t planned. He stepped down from his vehicle and walked straight to the soldier on duty at the checkpoint. “How are you? How is work going? Is the Commander in?” the Governor asked. “Yes sir,” the officer replied, immediately moving to usher His Excellency to meet the officer in charge. It was clearly an unprepared moment for the officer, who was still fastening his wristwatch and adjusting his shoes when he came out to receive the Governor. Governor Otti immediately began: “Sorry we took you unawares, I was just passing and decided to check on you people to see how things are going. Are there any challenges we should know about?” At that point, the Officer, who identified himself as Captain T. Yabiteigha, was almost short of words. Sensing the hesitation, Governor Otti cut in again: “Because I can already see this place needs renovation.” That statement immediately opened the conversation. The officer then led the Governor to the area where their patrol vans were parked, showing him that most of the operational vehicles were faulty and in poor condition. Without hesitation, Governor Otti immediately called on his Chief Security Officer, Ken Nwosu, directing him to ensure that the vehicles are either repaired or new ones provided and handed over to the military personnel with immediate effect. The Director General of the Greater Aba Development Authority, Mr. Uche Ukeje, who was coincidentally part of the inspection team, was also instructed on the spot to ensure the facility is renovated and fitted with solar-powered lights across the compound. Then came the emotional moment. As the Governor was about to leave, Captain Yabiteigha suddenly reminded him: “Sir, I know you may not remember, but last year you paid my hospital bills and those of my colleagues after that operation where we were attacked. One of our colleagues died and you supported his family and also placed his children on scholarship. I have been looking for a way to see you and thank you for saving my life. I was shut at my hip …….” Those words struck a deep emotional chord. Governor Otti’s commitment to security is second to none. His concern for the welfare of security personnel, the men who put their lives on the line daily, is one of the reasons Abia enjoys relative peace and security today. Why wouldn’t officers give their all when they can see that families of fallen heroes are not abandoned, and injured personnel are properly cared for? Since assuming office, Governor Otti has shown sincere commitment across every sector, particularly security, but that impromptu stop at the Ndoki military base on Sunday explained how much of a priority security is to Governor Otti. There are challenges you can never discover unless you go there yourself. Who would have imagined that on an ordinary Sunday, a Governor would stop his convoy and walk straight into a military base just to ask officers how they were faring? That is intentional leadership. That single visit solved problems that may have lingered unattended for months. May Governor Otti keep happening to Abia. Miracle Chukwunenye May 13, 2026.

Good evening, @cenbank. Today, 10th May 2026, I have not opened my @gtbank app to make any transaction, yet I have received debit alerts on both my savings and current accounts for stamp duty deductions. Almost every day, nearly ₦500 is indiscriminately deducted from my accounts, but today’s deduction is particularly shocking because I did not even open the app. This cannot continue. Enough of this criminality. It is high time you looked into this matter.
