This is why NHL should just do away with pride nights. Obsessive fans take note of who participates, try to extrapolate the players’ personal views from it, and the worst fans will make accusations of homophobia, transphobia, etc of the players who choose not to participate. Players don’t owe fans their own personal/political beliefs. And the fans that desperately want to know them because of their own narcissistic perceived moral superiority are beyond insufferable, and the sport would be better off if they found something else to obsess over

I would maybe say this “unprofessional” the night before a game most of the time, but also the Wild’s final 30 regular season games are literally fucking irrelevant as they’ve been locked into the Central 3 spot.
