@mniamv There is now hope for a decent live action Thundercats, Centurions and perhaps Galaxy Rangers….?

“it’s like a strong man… like a masculine fellow.” “what, it’s too macho?” and I don't even know if this description of he-man is funnier or the fact that he called teela a warrior goddess in front of her father #coupleofbesties

@mniamv This also feeds straight into the creator of He-man’s thinking. He was obsessed with body builders and macho Culture.

When they did the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, laughing GIF from the 1980s Filmation cartoon and Cringer looking at them like, “TF is wrong with these people,” I LOL’d in the movie theater. Great job @mastersmovie 🤣🤣🤣

Genuinely, I DO NOT like the concept of capitalism. I don’t want to work my job every day. I want to make art. I want to be in my garden. I want to feel something.

@MichaelGLFlood @PhilMitchell83 @TheTinMenBlog I mean this sincerely, if someone says something it is not an intellectually honest position to assume they must therefore hold the opposite position to also be true.

Working men are so effective at keeping our society running, with their roles becoming so seamless; that we have become coddled, and now people seriously ask "do we even need men?" With no idea how naive such a question truly is. "Men" have become a victim of their own success.

Because the odyssey is an entirely different story, and Troy, although far from perfect, is also a film. It’s at times like this I remember that there were people who complained that the Two Towers just ‘picked up’ where the Fellowship stopped, without explaining how they got there….

Looking for Growth
What do you think about this? In the UK, you are *BANNED* from going to a big shop every Sunday. Why? Because the shop is “too big”, according to the Government. Yes, seriously. That is the state of our outdated laws. It’s time to SCRAP THE SUNDAY BAN.⬇️

@lfg_uk This is absolute horseshit as anyone who is stuck in the frozen food isle at Tesco on a Sunday will tell you.

@CallumMacClark @Darkst0rms @PaperWhispers How else, pray tell, could the nhs be hypothetically funded? Also it’s worth pointing out that the US government spends more per person from taxes on healthcare (that’s before any insurance coverage) than the U.K.

@Darkst0rms @PaperWhispers I'm not arguing for a US style system. but to claim the NHS is free and we do not pay for it, is completely wrong

@SpoelstraLegacy @JeremiahDJohns I suggest everyone who is deeply upset by a straight man dressing as a famous woman for a performance looks at the U.K.s history of pantomime…. God sake you guys need to get a life.

@JeremiahDJohns Very dumb take. Holland doing this is flexing his status as a rich A list top actor. He’s effectively saying, “I’m so famous and rich that I can do a gay play and you will find it hot”. Yes women find this hot, but it’s more about the fact that he is already tom holland doing it.

Not to mention, I'm sorry but its hard to take a sport seriously if a 16 y/o can be among the best in the world. You simply could never see that in any of the other major sports
Cynical Publius@CynicalPublius

A major reason soccer will never supplant America’s core professional sports is because we value physical bravery above all other attributes in our sports stars. Curt Schilling’s bloody sock. Ronnie Lott chopping off the tip of his finger so he could stay in the game. Mark Bavaro dragging half the 49ers’ secondary while his broken jaw was wired shut. Michael Jordan having the best game of his life with a 103 degree fever. Willis Reed limping onto the floor for Game 7. Lou Gehrig playing with ALS until his body said “no more.” Dave Dravecky pitching so hard that his arm had to be amputated. Kirk Gibson hobbling to the plate in the 9th. Tiger Woods winning the US Open on a knee that days later required reconstructive surgery. Kerri Strug sticking the landing on her busted ankle for the gold. Sure, we have our LeBron Jameses acting like little babies, but the one thing I learned about futbol during the World Cup is that acting like a little injured baby is not only not frowned upon, it is ENCOURAGED as a strategic advantage. Americans want stoic heroes who persevere through pain. Soccer ain’t that, at least not in the day-to-day elements of the game. That’s why soccer will never be anything other than second-rate in the USA.

@NaClMiner7 @WallStreetMav Unfortunately the CO of the Blue Angels agrees with those who are saying it was a dangerous manoeuvre that shouldn’t have happened.

The Blue Angels are the most highly trained pilots in the world. They are above top 1% to get that position. Nobody was in danger.

You can't "recover" something you never had, @JMilei The British are the INDIGENOUS peoples of the previously uninhabited Falkland Islands (same principle used for the Maori who settled in N.Z.) They have the inalienable right to self determination. In the 2013 referendum 99.8% voted to remain under the British crown The Falklands are as far from Argentina as North Africa is from the UK. Claims of rightful ownership due to "proximity" are absurd. Never forget: Britain’s discovery and settlement rights over the Falklands long predate your state's existence. The islands were never part of the Argentine Republic’s inherited Spanish colonial territory. Spain had abandoned the islands long before. 🇫🇰🇬🇧🇫🇰🇬🇧
POLITICOEurope@POLITICOEurope

Argentine President Javier Milei yesterday declared that his government is “getting closer every day” to recovering sovereignty over the Falkland Islands, escalating a diplomatic row stemming from Argentina’s World Cup victory over England. politico.eu/article/javier…

These Blue Angel Pilots have the skillset to fly a few feet apart inverted from another Blue Angel, while performing a loop at 700mph, I’m sure they have the skillset to safely perform a low level beach flyover.
