@Noahpinion They is certainly not the case in the UK, where sectarianism has taken told
English

About 20% of American-born Muslims marry non-Muslims. A century ago, for Catholics, the number was ~10%, and for Jews ~3%. So Muslims are assimilating MUCH faster than historical religious minorities.
Noah Smith 🐇🇺🇸🇺🇦🇹🇼@Noahpinion
This is wrong. Muslims in America, by and large, DO assimilate. And that's a good thing.

@robggill @declanganley Blaming Trump is like blaming Lehman Bros for the Irish Banking crisis of 2008-11.
Wars happen all the time and we can't control that.
What we can control is splurging BILLIONS on IPAS instead of investing in public transport, infrastructure and housing.
English

Irony of ironies, none of those in favour of the Fuel Price Protests blame Trump. You won't here @declanganley blaming Trump or any of their right wing fellow travellers and the far left will blame the Irish Government first too.
English

@SlavaNAFO Since morons like you seem to support all the ridiculous left wing policies of the govt.
English

@HearnsOfficial There have already been a number of bogus investigation into his campaigns but they found nothing.
Meanwhile the govt continue to spend billions on asylum seekers and parasitic NGOs

Honest Question:
Where is the €35,000 that was raised for Nick Delahanty's failed presidential bid.
With money like that, we could help to fund some fuel for honest working-class people who are struggling.
The money should still be available.
Just a thought.
Nick Delehanty 🇮🇪@Nick_Delehanty
Honest Question: When was the last time Harris or Martin physically pumped petrol into their own car? Im going to guess its somewhere between 6 & 15 years.
English

@LOCthedreamer2 Ukraine is not the issue and is a pittance compared to the billions spent on IPAS
English

Why are your taxes being spent in Ukraine, when you cannot afford your weekly shop ?
#HowIrelandWorks
English

@higginsdavidw David, the state chooses to spend billions on IPAS every year. It can shut it down as in 🇩🇰 and 🇵🇱 but they are ideologically committed to importing fake asylum seekers.
Your claim doesn't stack up.
English

Mattie McGrath TD tells RTÉ Prime Time the protesters he met want a "cap" on diesel to pre-war prices.
He claims the government have a "cushion" from all the excise they collect. This evening's exchequer figures don't support that claim.

David W. Higgins@higginsdavidw
Most of this before the March 25th excise cut. Annualise (x12) and you get €72 million. Far less than the €250m package. Disproves the claim that the State now takes more in taxes because of the price rises.
English

@higginsdavidw This is the tip of the ice berg.
There is a recession on the way.
Wait until people realise that the govt has been unnecessarily spending billions every year on IPAS....
English

@sinnfeinireland @KingBobIIV You continue to support spending BILLIONS on IPAS.
You are more interested in Gaza, immigration and trans rights, than looking after ordinary people.
English

The government must recall the Dáil, cut fuel taxes, and deliver real cost of living support without further delay.
Workers, families, and local businesses are under huge pressure - they should not have to take to the streets to demand support.
Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael must listen and act now.
Sinn Féin will keep fighting your corner for what you and your family deserve.
English

@SimonHarrisTD You have no problem bypassing planning law to build IPAS centres.
Why are you spending billions every year on IPAS?
English

@TullMcAdoo Fascists?
Do you think its just fine for the government to spend BILLIONS of our money on IPAS while taxing people to oblivion and failing to invest in transport, infrastructure, energy independence or housing?
English

@MichealMartinTD Why are you spending BILLIONS of our money on IPAS instead of reducing taxes or investing in housing, infrastructure, transport and energy independence.
English

Surprising amount of these #fuelprotest crowd seem to have a lot to say about immigration and gender. 🤨
English

@CSBlenner The people responsible are the government.
Wars and economic crises happen all the time - we can't control that.
But we can stop spending BILLIONS every year on IPAS and invest instead in transport, infrastructure and housing.
English

@DarraghOBrienTD @NewstalkFM Stop spending BILLIONS of our money on IPAS.
There is no excuse for it.
Meanwhile our infrastructure, transport and housing are all a disgrace.
English

📻I’ll be on @NewstalkFM shortly after 4.30pm - the Government will continue to do our best to support people during this global crisis, but the way to achieve that is not by disrupting our own supply chain and economy.

English

@fiannafailparty Stop spending billions on IPAS and invest in transport, infrastructure and housing.

@danobrien20 Large swathes of Dublin city consists of businesses inappropriately occupying Georgian housing.
Meanwhile modern office blocks are under used.
Time to return housing to residential homes.

There is simply no political party in #Ireland currently that reflects the views of the majority of population on spending, taxation, immigration and the NGO industrial complex.
It is no wonder people are so angry.
