The irony when parents, kids and coaches tell me they don’t have time for the weights, yet have endless time do to skill work, all in preparation to face an opponent who is 50lbs heavier and much more physical. Yes skills are needed. But not at the expense of physical development.

Few yrs ago a national camp used lasers across the country and this is what the results were: 716 participates The Average HS 40 was: 5.20 Fastest 40: 4.556 4.3: 0 4.4: 0 4.5: 1 (4.556 fastest time) 4.6: 15 4.7: 31 4.8: 57 4.9: 81 Total under 5.0 = 185 out of 716

This isn’t a kid problem This is a HS Coach, Trainer, Rivals, Under Armor, etc camp problem 🤥 The reason kids think they run 4.4 is bc their coaches / trainers tell them that It’s the adults who are lying to kids

A lot of great benefits to a Waterfall Sprint! Especially in a big group. ▪️Reaction ▪️Chasing / Being Chased ▪️Repeatability for conditioning preparing for Spring Practice ▪️Competition = Intent ⬆️ Don’t have to time every sprint to get faster. Not always logical nor efficient given time & group size considerations.
