Brisbane AFLW have 31 players on their list (not sure how many currently injured), as opposed to 45ish on a men's list. AFLM lists had flexibility to rest players en masse during those quick turnarounds mentioned. Just another point to consider.

While there is a lot of focus on the 32 or so refugees detained in Park Hotel, for those who are just hearing about this, after 9 years there are still over 200 people offshore in PNG and Nauru, and 70 onshore. Those in PNG have been abandoned there by Australia.

I hate the talk around keeping politics out of sport. A) ignoring a conversation is a statement in itself and B) you can’t claim that sport is a central component of this nations cultural identity but then say it should stick to the field when it attempts to shift the culture.
