A new firework petition has been created by Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Their spokesperson said:
“There is compelling evidence that the ability of owners to keep their horses safe is limited when fireworks are set off nearby, even with advance notice. The data shows stabled horses are still vulnerable when fireworks are set off and at risk of injury, illness or even death. A third (33%) of horses sustaining long-term injury or illness were stabled at the time.”
The petition calls for a reduction in the decibel level of consumer fireworks from 120db to 90db. This would be a great way to reduce the stress and injuries to livestock & other animals @EmmaforWycombe! @RedwingsHS

@annahamiltonart Ahhh, any closer to completing my daughters dog pet portrait? Upates would be appreciated! Order booked under the name of Lauren Holloway. Respond to her or me - thanks
Which towns are having regular fireworks during the summer like @WeymouthWTC? Is it really an essential part of a holiday, something holiday makers can’t live without? The noise is something animals & neurodivergent people can live without!

So happy The actual Times picked my show as one of the best things to see in Edinburgh. This is the sort of news I normally wouldn’t post about.
BUT NOW YOU KNOW :-)
