One of the worst things you can do is refuse your cross, ignore the hero's call, and always wish that things were different rather than accept what is and do your best to work with it

Have an interview for top Repvue CyberSec company tomorrow. Apparently Cyber is hardest tech niche, but maybe this is what I should do. I've never had a hard time talking to IT/Dev types, in a certain sense I think its easier than talking to normies - just be direct and logical. At my last job as PM, there were a couple technical folk who would only respond to me and the CTO, no one else

I did 5 trips this year between May & October. Each one was minimum 6 days. Literally just me, the mountains/forest, sleeping bag/pillow, mosquito net, some tools, cooler with food & water, trail runners, solar shower, books & podcasts. Brain goes crystal clear w/in 24 hours. It’s as if IQ goes up 30 points in a single day. The last one I took this summer was 8 nights/7 days. The most insane thing happened. Didn’t realize it til I got home. Every single night I slept 100% undisturbed. Meaning I’d fall asleep and awaken in the exact same position. ZERO disturbance. Mind you I’m in a sleeping bag on river rocks in bear country. Didn’t matter. Woke to the sun hitting my feet each day. Rested, recharged, and just at peace. The chaos of suburban life-nonstop EMF, sirens, car alarms, shitty people, bad energies (feel it from everything-mostly people), the inauthenticity of it all just saps me. All of that disappears when surrounded by nature in its ‘mostly’ unmolested form. I highly recommend doing it. Finding an area with wild berries is even better!

Crazy how hard it is to get an interview with hr by just cold applying. I applied to an entry-level job and got a rejection email the next day. I had someone refer me to an AE role at the same company the next week and got an interview right away.
