I haven't coached a lick in 3 years. Met a 23yo coach from an FCS school this morning and introduced myself to him... And he knew me from the memes. Truly, the stickiest message wins. If only I'd used my powers for good rather than to tell @Sorinex they're a net negative for the field.

@StrCoachNetwork I do of course agree. However shin angle on squats as the reason for their lack of transfer for sprinting is missing something. They don't correlate because it's gpp for the athlete, like the last slide says...

We have said this before and will say it again. If you are only focusing on Squat, Bench, and Deadlift with your athletes YOU ARE DOING THEM A DISSERVICE! Now we will always provide answers to the issues we point out. For full detail DM us SBD and we will send our video on this.

@TheKurtHester @Guadango During covid we moved our weight room outside and lifted on the field and/or under the bleachers. I think I had a similar understanding of transfer of training.

@Guadango I carried a KB to the field once, so I literally transferred it to the field.

@RUGBY_STR_COACH Think positively, your hamstring will likely heal earlier than the inevitable heat death of the universe.

Tell them "Existence is suffering. You are a spark of sentience in an otherwise cold, uncaring, harsh universe. The infinite oblivion of death awaits us all. See, your hamstring doesn't feel so bad by comparison now does it? Now, one more set of band clamshells, please."
The Sp⚽️rts Physio@AdamMeakins

One of the hardest things to do well as a physio is reassure someone that their pain is normal and will pass with time… without invalidating their concerns and decisions to seek assistance for it! What are some of your tips for doing this well?

@ZachDechant Yes. They have very poor work capacity, especially in comparison to even a few years ago. Low days are vital, but not as much for cns fatigue as for tempo and other aerobic work. Besides Charlie always said low days can still include high intensity as long as volume is very low.

Do HS athletes need a high low system of training when most probably aren’t at a level high enough to create CNS fatigue… What are your thoughts ?!?!

For those who own The Governing Dynamics of the NFL, I've been working with a group of Miami Dolphins skill players on Level 1 and Level 2 low and high intensity field work. Players are so receptive to these ideas. If only coaches were...
