Happy Saturday peeps! Things are looking up for ol' Mike. The last couple years have been the roughest of my life, financially at least. I had faith things were gonna work out eventually. Now I just want to find a quiet place to call home, get a good dog, and enjoy life.

It's funny to hear these announcers talk about a pitcher like "he doesn't have top tier stuff; fastball only 95/96mph." I'm old enough to remember when low 90s was hot stuff lol.

They can't stop crime with cameras. They can't keep drugs out of prisons. They can’t create order with more laws. Yet the solution is always: More cameras. More laws. More enforcement. More control. It's almost as if surveillance, authoritarianism and coercion was never the cure for social dysfunction.
