As an Anesthesiologist, I know transporting critically ill patients—even in resource-rich Toronto—is no small task. Safely evacuating an entire hospital is nearly impossible. In besieged Gaza, it’s a death sentence. How is this being accepted and normalized?

This morning’s raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital has put this last major health facility in North #Gaza out of service. Initial reports indicate that some key departments were severely burnt and destroyed during the raid. 60 health workers and 25 patients in critical condition, including those on ventilators, reportedly remain in the hospital. The patients in moderate to severe condition were forced to evacuate to the destroyed and non-functional Indonesian Hospital. WHO is deeply concerned for their safety. This raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital comes after escalating restrictions on access for WHO and partners, and repeated attacks on or near the facility since early October. Such hostilities and the raids are undoing all our efforts and support to keep the facility minimal functional. The systematic dismantling of the health system in Gaza is a death sentence for tens of thousands of Palestinians in need of health care. This horror must end and health care must be protected. Ceasefire!

Israel bombed in Lebanon yesterday and today, they opened fire on farmers, on a funeral, snipers shot at journalists.
They are advancing into towns they were repelled from in the fighting. They are tearing up olive trees.
Not a single person has fired back. The moment somebody does, the USA and its allies will call "ceasefire violation".
I feel heartsick.

The Conservatives have dropped a new 11-page amendment to Bill 212. We'll be debating the amendment in committee this afternoon, and we're reviewing it now. We think the amendment does the following; - - Doesn't require the government to pay all the city’s expenses to remove the bike lanes - Won’t reimburse municipalities for the cost of installing the lanes in the first place - Bans people from taking the Government to court for its decision to remove bike lanes, including any individuals who are injured or killed due to a collision between a bike and a vehicle - Approves the removal of the entirety of the Bloor St bike lane - Bans municipalities from installing a bike lane on any road or street, including side streets, without provincial approval if a lane of vehicle traffic is removed - Directs the provincial minister to remove the Bloor, Yonge and Avenue Road bike lanes themselves, without municipal action.
