Just another normal morning where the President of the United States shares completely false claims from a conspiracy theory site. I’ve confirmed with election officials in Maricopa County that this is 100% BS.

Conservative columnist @SengCenter disassembles Gov Polis’ argument for Tina Peters clemency: mistaking judicial discretion in sentencing for disparity If sentences over the median need clemency, then 1000s of non-famous prisoners without a friend in the White House await
Jimmy Sengenberger@SengCenter

Jared Polis says Tina Peters' sentence shows a "sentencing disparity." But that's not how it works. Different crimes. Different facts. Different remorse. If Polis grants clemency, the only disparity will be the one he creates. Today @DenverGazette: denvergazette.com/2026/03/06/pol… "This is about politics, not justice. The governor's latest justification rests on one shared felony charge he’s labeled a 'disparity.' But the system isn't meant to hand out identical sentences. It's meant to weigh facts, conduct, victims and the law — case by case." #copolitics #TinaPeters #CrimeNews @GovofCO @JaredPolis

The precinct problem caused in Dallas and Williamson counties in the TX primary will NOT happen in November. While the parties have unusual power over primaries in TX, they cannot change the process during a general election. These counties will use vote centers in November.

What a gift such a clearly unconstitutional EO would be! Though divorced from legal reality, it would enable the courts to invalidate this power grab well in advance of the election, and confirm the clear limits to fed'l interference in elections. wapo.st/3N5cpEn

For some helpful context, The Center for Election Innovation and Research published an update this month on "Review of Claims of Noncitizen Registrants and Voters" ⬇️ "Even when taken at face value, the largest claims never identify numbers of possible noncitizen registrants or voters that amount to more than a few tenths of one percent of the number of eligible voters in a state. The limited scope of even the most sweeping claims indicates that existing safeguards and procedures are broadly effective." electioninnovation.org/research/nonci…

Expert, detailed analysis from @stephen_richer: "Omissions, paired with the failure to address past investigations and acknowledge the political motivations of his witnesses, make the affidavit fatally flawed. To uphold the rule of law the affidavit should be revisited."
Stephen Richer@stephen_richer

The Fulton County affidavit is hugely flawed. And possibly unlawful because it fails its obligations under Franks v. Delaware. My deep dive into the affidavit at @thedispatch (where I'm now a staff contributor). thedispatch.com/article/fbi-af…

They’ve had 5 yrs, w/ 1+ yr of total control of the fed’l gov’t, and all they have to support Trump’s ridiculous claims are rehashed and debunked conspiracy theories and the apparent plot to National Treasure 3, where Nic Cage finds the secret code in a Ft. Lauderdale library!

There's a lot of tabulator talk in anticipation of Sec. Noem's visit to Arizona tomorrow. The tabulator talk could be an attempt at a rehab tour for attorney Kurt Olsen, who is now a "special government employee" and leading some of the Trump administration's work on election issues. A reminder of the outcomes of Olsen's last attempts at election law in Arizona: 1) Sanctioned by the federal district court in December 2022. 2) Sanctioned by the Arizona Supreme Court in October 2024. 3) Disciplined by the presiding disciplinary judge in November 2024. I haven't had time to read through the impressive body of orders for Olsen's professional misconduct, but here are some quick quotes that I pulled. ............. FEDERAL DISTRICT COURT ........... (Sanctioned by the federal district court on December 1, 2022 for making nonsense and demonstrably-false claims about Arizona's tabulators) "Here, Plaintiffs’ misrepresentations about Arizona’s use of paper ballots played a central role in the purported basis for Plaintiffs’ claims." At 13. "Plaintiffs evidently failed to conduct the factual and legal pre-filing inquiry that the circumstances of this case reasonably permitted and required." At 24. "Thus, Plaintiffs either failed to conduct the reasonable factual and legal inquiry required under Rule 11, or they conducted such an inquiry and filed this lawsuit anyway." At 25. "[The Court] finds that Plaintiffs made false, misleading, and unsupported factual assertions." At 28. statesunited.org/wp-content/upl… ............. ARIZONA STATE BAR / ARIZONA SUPREME COURT........... And here's from October 17, 2024 when Olsen was in front of the presiding disciplinary judge for sanctionable conduct after he lied to the Arizona Supreme Court in a filing. "On May 4, 2023, the Arizona Supreme Court issued an order sanctioning Mr. Olsen and his co-counsel -- Bryan J. Blehm – for making 'unequivocally false' representations in certain filings." At 2. "Because Lake’s attorney has made false factual statements to the Court, we conclude that the extraordinary remedy of a sanction under ARCAP 25 is appropriate." At 3 (quoting the Arizona Supreme Court) "Mr. Olsen violated duties owed to the legal system and to the profession. He acted knowingly as that term is defined in the attorney discipline context." At 3. "The State Bar contends suspension is the presumptive sanction under the ABA Standards because Mr. Olsen acted knowingly, as opposed to negligently." At 4. azcourts.gov/Portals/0/101/….

Today, the MI district court joined two other federal courts (CA & OR) in denying DOJ the right to seize sensitive voter data (SSN, DL, DOB) on millions of Americans. The DOJ is now 0-3 in these cases (with 22 left to go), and yet they are still pressuring states for this data.

Elections expert @beckerdavidj warns the DOJ's seizure of 2020 ballots is really about the midterms: "Georgia counted their paper ballots in 2020 three times... if this isn't about actually creating or manufacturing proof about 2020, it does appear like it's more about 2026."
