@becky_nerd @Kekius_Sage Some people used to say the same thing about role-playing games or video games. To say that life is precious is dogmatic. Everything is dangerous; living is dangerous; to live is to die one day, and transhumanism won’t change that. AI doesn’t ruin mental health; it reveals it.

@becky_nerd @Kekius_Sage No, I wont. It wasn't the systems fault. The system will not just up and coach you to commit suicide, you have to jailbreak the system into doing it. He intended to do it, and he used the system to justify it. He was mentally ill, and his family had no clue. They didn't care.

It's very short-sighted to blame artificial intelligence for people's ignorance. So why does the article call a 23-year-old a teenager? He's an adult, young and foolish, but an adult nonetheless. Every year, thousands of people die in road and motorcycle accidents, including young people who drive like crazy, so let's blame the cars.

I recently heard someone equate college students using AI as equivalent to using calculators. I laughed. This is not what we’re seeing in the humanities and social sciences. Students are using AI to avoid learning and deep-think writing assignments. It’s not a “tool.”
