@Johnrs06 @samueltombs @jonsopel Can I just ask how much you paid for your house and how big your mortgage was? High interest rates on a mortgage of say £10K are very more manageable with budgeting and not whinging than high interest rates on a mortgage if day £200K wouldn’t you say?

@samueltombs @jonsopel Mid 70’s interest rates went from 4% to 17% in ‘79 and down to 10% in ‘90 & didn’t reach 6% until 2000. With a young family & money tight we coped, budgeted accordingly, downsizing if necessary but without the whinging & whining that goes on from some today #lifeisnotafreeride

@Number10cat I have tweeted my MP @HelenGrantMP to call for a no confidence vote. People are furious and Johnson is refusing to do the right thing so it falls to all the conservative MP’s to make him. If they do not do this then people will remember at the ballot box.

Conservative MPs still don’t grasp that they can’t simply declare that this is over. That’s ultimately up to the electorate, who don’t like being dictated too by their elected representatives. Backing Johnson will just further the damage and the repercussions. #partygate
