@SpursCulture Wemby talked about being addicted to winning when he won the WCF and then when he lost the finals he mourned that he was 100 games away. Even in game 5 they tried to go for a blowout because they were thinking ahead. Knicks culture was embracing the process. Better culture wins

@ChesterFried82 @SpursCulture The problem is the suffocating defense is about 42 minutes. Hard to sustain that aggression for entire game. I thought it also impacted their shot making late in games. Horrible strategy. Maybe kick up the crazy defense to start the 2nd half instead of from top off

@beholdfilms @SpursCulture I was all about the Knicks ending their drought but I still love watching a team play suffocating defense for 48 mins. Spurs will be fine, Wemby will grow, and our microwave reactions will age pretty terribly.

The NBA tried to protect Wemby throughout the playoffs thinking they could force him onto fans. It never felt organic. All the league accomplished was to show how overrated he is and make fans hate his game. I have zero interest in watching Wemby or Spurs basketball.

@IAmEricVincent Eric, the team is what it is bc of Brunson. It’s not filled with high draft picks like the pistons. It’s synergy. Point guard is a big part of that. And I’m a HUGE Cade fan.

We don’t know that yet. Cade has never played on a team like what the Knicks have. Brunson carried in Game 7 last night but he had plenty of help around him throughout the playoffs.

Looks weird cause how big and lanky he is. I think he's just trying to get his foot on the inside of OGs which bigs are taught to do for screens cause it pins the defenders movement. 🤔

@pointmadebball No it’s a flat out jarring looking draymond green looking play. Nobody anointed him as the face of the league because he plays like an awkward 7’4 baby giraffe. Can’t play it both ways.

@MikeMummy40 Also if this became a normal way of setting screens, karate jumping.. nba would be forced to change rules. Because this is acl injury knee to knee injury waiting to happen. Very dangerous play. Wemby could have bumped knees and both players get injured.

@cpenn4thewin Held or pushed? I’m seeing spurs fans saying he’s pushed into the screen. I think it looks likes he’s doing some weird flop to draw attention to how he’s being held. Everybody is being held this series. But that flop looks jarring and dangerous. It’s a reckless movement.

Wemby has got away with some stuff in this year’s playoffs but yeah he was just trying to get set for a screen and was getting held

@dawest76 This is why fans are fans and not actually playing in the finals. The mentality that wins is playing one game at a time. You’re already projecting three games ahead. Lets hope the spurs are projecting ahead as well.

The Spurs season is on life support. But they still have a slight pulse. 2 out of the next 3 games are in San Antonio. Win on Saturday and all the pressure in the world will be on the Knicks to win game 6 at home. They don't want to go back to San Antonio for a potential game 7

@TahiriRigon I don't see y'all winning game 5 personally. Feel like it's almost rigged to go longer. This series has been so good. So many close games. Spurs were a few mistakes from a 3-1/2-2 series lead.
