I’d imagine it going down like this 😂:
Bill Gates: I’d like a Big Mac meal. Here’s my gold card.
Crew Member: What in the world is that, sir?
Bill: A gold card. I get free McDonald’s food wherever I go.
Crew Member: 😲 Free food everywhere? That’s the coolest thing I’ve ever heard! Let me grab my GM before I mess this up.
GM: Sir… is this a real gold card for free food?
Bill: Yes, it is.
GM: Holy fries, I’ve worked here 8 years and nobody’s ever pulled that out! Let me call my supervisor.
Supervisor: A gold card? For unlimited free Big Macs? You’re not pranking us, right?
Bill: No prank, it’s real.
Supervisor: This is wilder than the McRib coming back! Hang on, I’m getting the franchisee.
Franchisee: Bill, you telling me this shiny card means you eat here for free forever?
Bill: That’s the idea.
Franchisee: Well I’ll be dipped in special sauce… Let me call corporate real quick before my brain “fries”.
After several more amazed looks and hurried phone calls, Bill smiled politely and said:
“You know what? I’ll just pay with cash today.”

Bill Gates is one of the few people who hold a McDonald’s Gold Card, which grants him unlimited free food for life at any McDonald's location worldwide.

@Voidsspace Actually these are people from Anglophone Third World countries who make their living by "playing the hits"

@DAKKADAKKA1 Given that the driving test was to be conducted in Scarborough, England (of whose residents ~97% are white and ~91% were born in England, per the ONS 2021 census) the instructor’s ethnicity is almost certainly English

A Kenyan dwarf truck driver finds an Ethiopian dwarf on the road, and they stopped to have a small conversation. Now that’s what you call true semi truck drivers.

@fleshsimulator @KlausDeVivar He is English—there’s a good deal about him in MTW. An interesting fact is that Elliot’s paternal grandfather, George, was a notable photojournalist: the elder Rodger’s images of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen were printed in spring 1945 issues of both Time and Life magazines.

@KlausDeVivar I kind of just assumed tbh

@grahamcclark1 “Lead [sic.] by the mother of all fake, artificial, counterfeit entities—Israel” is impressively tortured prose: even more unbelievable is the impression one gets from reading that this line seems to have been intended as no less than the coup de grâce!

What it's like being married to a 160+ IQ person:
Sipping coffee and checking on our plants in the garden (our normal routine)...
Mike: "Oh, I figured out how plants grow." Proceeds to give the best explanation ever, something I'd never heard or thought about in my life, even as a plant lover.
His brain is always working and discovering new things, not just about coding and software, but about everything around him.
He calls it First Principles thinking. He is amazing at ignoring all assumptions and conventions.
