The laundry industry figured out one of the greatest grifts in American retail: sell people a giant bottle that’s mostly water, perfume, and vibes.
Most detergent is designed to smell like “clean” before it actually needs to do much cleaning.
You can make your own with the parts that actually matter:
Washing soda: raises the pH and helps lift grease and grime.
Borax: softens hard water and keeps dirt from redepositing.
Castile soap: breaks surface tension and helps carry the dirt away.
For a 4-person household doing around 300 loads a year:
Commercial detergent: $150 to $180
DIY version: about $6
That’s $140+ saved by refusing to pay luxury prices for scented tap water.
Trust the chemistry, not the marketing. Reclaim your laundry room. 🇺🇸

🚨BREAKING!
On the Artemis II “Historic FlyBy” of the moon, they were able to capture this startling footage of the brave camera man who filmed the take off of the first Apollo mission from the moon.
The little known fourth member of the Apollo 11 crew, astronaut Beau Guss sacrificed his life to get the amazing footage of the lunar take off that we have all seen throughout our lives.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Guss family and our country is forever grateful for all that Beau was willing to give for our beautiful country.
God bless NASA! 🇺🇸

@TedLogan1010 Neil left him as he realized Beau was technically the first man on the moon.

@GuntherEagleman Wow, this is huge! What do you think the implications of this mission will be for future space exploration?
English

@CuriosityonX @jake_scofield It’s because everybody now realizes it’s bullshit.

I'm honestly SHOCKED at how the general public still has NO IDEA Artemis II is, right this minute, taking humans to the moon and will be the furthest humans have ever flown. Every non-space nerd I've talked to has no idea. WE MUST GET PEOPLE STOKED!!!!
THESE FOUR HUMANS ARE FLYING TO THE MOON!!!

English

@latestinspace ....if that's the bottom of the craft.... who took the photo?
English

@GuntherEagleman Of course they are as they are still here on earth.

@NASA @SunshineSass2 Where is the camera that takes these pictures?? What kind of camera is it??
English

@NASA @EzraACohen Who or what took this video. Is the camera on a selfie stick?
English

@ByronDonalds Yay. $66 million dollars a day to fly a DEI crew around the moon. Woo hoo.
