Because they’re less confident America will be able to pay it back. The national debt just surpassed GDP for the first time since World War II. Gas is up 66% since December. The war has cost $25 billion. Investors are pricing in the risk.

People spend their whole life trying to defeat others not knowing they have just fallen into someone else's plans. How do we get people to understand this?

Everyone romanticizes the “simple life” abroad. But I’ve met expats in Mexico, Colombia, Thailand, and even here in Chile who were miserable. Drinking too much. Lonely. Broke. Running from something they never fully confronted. The guy waking up hungover at 2pm in Medellín… is often the same guy who was waking up hungover at 2pm in Chicago… Just with less pressure to look in the mirror.
